1 Choose model files

Your car's .dff and .txd files, plus vehicle.txd

Choose all three files together. On a computer, hold Ctrl and click each file.

Where are my model files?

The .dff file is the model. The .txd file contains its textures.

Normal cars: open gta3.img (GTA San Andreas\models) with an IMG editor and take out the car's .dff and .txd.

Also choose vehicle.txd from GTA San Andreas\models\generic. Tyres, lights and plates are in it.

CIT's own cars: use the .dff and .txd from the mod files you downloaded.

You can also include PNG, JPG or WebP textures with matching names.

Or choose one GLB file instead of the .dff and .txd. GLB files must contain their own textures.

First, choose the part of the car (material) to change

Normal cars: choose vehiclegrunge256. Paintjob cars and some of CIT's own car models use another name.

The same name can be in the list many times. Each line is one part. Try them one by one.

Then, choose your shader image

CIT takes shader images as JPG, up to 1024 x 1024. PNG and WebP also open here.

The preview uses your model's texture mapping. Lighting and shaders may look different in MTA. Check your final design in the game.
