title=Vehicle Recovery - CIT Wiki
description=Guide to vehicle recovery in CIT, including F2 Recover, /recover, VIP recovery, recovery points, /bvrp, large planes, and Armed Robbery restrictions.
}}

Vehicle Recovery
Vehicle Recovery is the system used to bring back an owned vehicle. It is mainly used through Vehicle Manager (F2) or `/recover`.

Fast recovery answer
Open `F2` or use `/vehicles`, select the vehicle, then click `Recover`. You can also use `/recover` for the vehicle currently selected in F2.
If your vehicle is stuck in water, open `F2`, select the vehicle, and click `Recover`.

Recovery behavior
Situation
Where the vehicle goes
VIP recovery
Can recover to your location. Wanted recovery takes `10` seconds.
No VIP
Goes to the recovery point or nearest allowed spawner.
VIP ended or recently damaged
Goes to the recovery point. Being wanted does not cause this when VIP Hours are active.
Large planes
Can only be recovered at airports.
Near Armed Robbery
Blocked within `40` units.

Useful recovery commands
Command or key
Use
Notes
`/recover`
Recover selected F2 vehicle
If nothing is selected, it selects the top vehicle in F2.
`/bvrp`
Toggle recovery pad blips
Recovery points are markable with `/gps`.
`/pick ID`
Pick vehicle by F2 number
Useful when you know the vehicle number.

How to recover
To recover a vehicle:

# Open `F2` or use `/vehicles`.
# Select the vehicle.
# Click `Recover`.

You can also use `/recover`. It recovers the vehicle currently selected in F2.

VIP and Non VIP Recovery
Type
Result
VIP recovery
Can bring the vehicle to your location
Wanted player with VIP
The vehicle comes to your location after `10` seconds, and you are not warped into it
Wanted recovery wait
Wanted players can hide a vehicle during the `10` second recovery wait
Without VIP
Vehicle goes to the recovery point or nearest allowed spawner

Vehicle recovery can also send some law vehicles to the nearest vehicle spawner.

Vehicle recovery points are markable in `/gps`. They are not visible red and yellow in game markers. If your vehicle is sent to one, use `/gps` to mark that location.

Non VIP Recovery
Non VIP recovery depends on your role, job, side, and vehicle type.

Use Non-VIP Vehicle Recovery for the full role list.

Common examples:

Role
Vehicles
Everyone
`Faggio`, `Caddy`, `Moonbeam`, every pedal bike, `Dinghy`, and `Sweeper`
Criminals and gangsters
`Stafford`, `Greenwood`, and `Sultan`
Cops from any location
`Police LS`, `Medic Car`, `S.W.A.T.`, `Undercover Police`, and `HPV1000`

Military and Rebel recovery without VIP is historical because Military and Rebel are disabled.

Apartment and Dimension Recovery
Recovering an F2 vehicle while in an apartment, and in some other dimensions, clones car tuning and many other features.

Bind Recovery
You can bind recovery to a key:

`/bind [key] recover`

Example:

`/bind Q recover`

Pick is Different
`Recover` uses the recovery system.

`Pick` spawns the vehicle where it was last spawned.

Vehicle Stats
Use Vehicle Stats when you need the full stat table, exact max speed values, acceleration values, mass values, traction values, and ranking tables.

CITmap Counts
These counts come from the CITmap data. Use them as quick count summaries only. Some CITmap icons are custom.

`Other` means counties, small towns, airports, sea points, or non city areas as labelled in CITmap.

Type
LS
SF
LV
Other
Total
Recovery points
`1`
`0`
`1`
`5`
`7`

Related notes
* Personal vehicles can be recovered at race track, blood bowl, and demolition derby recovery pads.
* Large planes can only be recovered at airports.
* Cops, criminals, and gangsters cannot recover
Bus
,
Coach
,
Trashmaster
, or
Fire Truck
, and large vehicles are removed from areas with many wanted players.
* Clicking
Recover
in
F2
clones your personal vehicle for temporary use in the
Law Farm
dimension.
* Broken down vehicles can be hidden even if they are moving.
* Wanted player or prisoner vehicle recovery is visible to everyone, shows a half transparent vehicle, and spawns after
10
seconds.
* Players can recover vehicles in allied bases without
VIP
.

Vehicles after logout
Normal owned vehicles are hidden while their owner is offline and return at the position where they were left. House static vehicles remain displayed instead of following this behavior.

Recovery near your house
When you are close to your own house, you can recover any owned F2 vehicle to your position without VIP. This does not place or store the vehicle permanently inside the house.

VIP recovery timing
With VIP, recovery works whether or not the player is wanted.

* Not wanted: the vehicle appears immediately and the player is warped into it.
* Wanted: the vehicle appears after
10
seconds, the player is not warped into it, everyone can see the recovery location, and the owner can hide the vehicle during the wait.

Without VIP, the vehicle goes to a recovery point or another allowed spawner unless a role or location exception applies.
