Vehicle Repair
Repairing Vehicles in CIT can be done in several different ways depending on where you are, what you have, and what side or job you are using.

! Option
! How it works
|-
| Repair Kit
| Press `X`, click the vehicle, then choose `Use Repair Kit`. It repairs `33%`.
|-
| Pay n Spray
| Drive into the repair marker. Vehicles over `$1,000,000` cost more.
|-
| Mechanic
| Mechanics can repair vehicles.
|-
| DL1+
| DL1+ players can repair vehicles without Repair Kits.
|-
| Drive into the transparent circular fuel marker.
|-
| Jerry Can
| Get out, press `X`, click vehicle, then use `Refuel Vehicle`.

Extra repair rules
* After a vehicle is repaired at Pay n Spray, it does not collide with other vehicles for `15` seconds unless the driver is wanted.
* Lifetime Motor Club Membership costs `$100,000,000` and gives free unlimited Pay n Spray repairs, gas station refuelling, and roadside repairs for owned and job marker spawned vehicles.
* Aircraft can refuel at airport gas stations, or any gas station if you can land there.

Repair notes
Vehicles in CIT can be repaired:

* with a `Repair Kit`
* at a `Pay n' Spray`
* by a `Mechanic`
* for free if you have `DL1+`
* with
/lawrepair
inside an apartment
* with
/repair
inside `Car Show`
* with
/repair
inside the `Law Dimension`

Each method works in a different way.

Repair Kit
A `Repair Kit` is a direct item based way to repair a vehicle.

To use it:

# make sure you have a `Repair Kit`
# press
X

# click the vehicle
# choose `Use Repair Kit`

This is one of the standard ways to repair a vehicle anywhere it can be used.

Pay n' Spray
`Pay n' Spray` is one of the main repair locations in CIT.

To repair a vehicle there:

# drive into any `Pay n' Spray`
# enter the repair marker inside the garage
# slow down or stop enough while inside the marker

`Pay n' Spray` uses:

* the `Car Repair` blip
* a spray can icon
* a red circular repair marker inside the garage

Pay n' Spray notes
At `Pay n' Spray`:

* repairs still start if you entered too fast, as long as you slow down or stop enough inside the marker
* if the vehicle is already inside the marker, entering it repairs it

Mechanic
`Mechanic` is a civilian service job that can repair other vehicles.

To repair a vehicle as a `Mechanic`:

# stand next to the vehicle
# press
X

# click the vehicle
# select `Repair Vehicle`

The vehicle owner then:

* accepts
* or declines

This is the player service repair method.

DL1+ free repair
Players with `DL1+` can repair vehicles:

* without using `Repair Kits`

This is another standard repair option.

Apartment repair
Inside an apartment, use:

/lawrepair

This repairs your vehicle while you are there.

Car Show repair
Inside `Car Show`, use:

/repair

This is used to:

* fix vehicle panels

Law Dimension repair
Inside the `Law Dimension`, one of the supported vehicle commands is:

/repair

This is a repair option available there.

Lifetime Motor Club Membership
`Lifetime Motor Club Membership` adds extra repair benefits.

It gives:

* free unlimited `Pay n' Spray` repairs
* free roadside repairs

It applies to:

* your owned vehicles
* job marker spawned vehicles

For roadside repairs:

# press
X

# click the vehicle
# use `Use Repair Kit`

You do not need to be:

* the driver

Choosing the right repair method
Different repair methods are useful in different situations:

* use a `Repair Kit` if you want a direct item based repair
* use `Pay n' Spray` for garage repairs
* use a `Mechanic` if you want another player to repair your vehicle
* use
/lawrepair
inside an apartment
* use
/repair
inside `Car Show`
* use
/repair
in the `Law Dimension`
* use `DL1+` free repair if you have that access
* use `Lifetime Motor Club Membership` benefits if you own it

Repair details
* `Repair Kit`, `Pay n' Spray`, `Mechanic`, and `DL1+` are the main general repair methods.
* Apartment, `Car Show`, and `Law Dimension` repairs are location based methods.
* `Lifetime Motor Club Membership` improves both `Pay n' Spray` and roadside repair use.
