Fire Fighter Job
The Firefighter job involves responding to fires and rescuing pedestrians in San Fierro. As a Firefighter, you'll need to equip a fire truck, travel to fire locations, and extinguish the fires. You will also have side missions to put out burning vehicles within a time limit for additional rewards.

How to Get the Job
Stand in the job marker at San Fierro Fire Department to take the job, or use the command '/go firefighter' if you are level 10.
Vehicles
- Fire Truck ($5,000)
- Sanchez ($100,000)
- Wayfarer ($85,000)
Job Process
After taking the job, get a Fire Truck at the marker.
Drive to red siren blips on your radar to find fires.
Equip the fire extinguisher and extinguish the fire.
Rescue pedestrians if required.
After completing the fire, wait for the next fire to be reported.
Note: The fire truck’s hose is not effective in fighting fires.
Side Mission
Firefighter Side Mission: Get a Firefighter truck, press 'N', and head to the fire blip on the map. You will have to extinguish a burning vehicle in a 5-minute time limit to earn rewards.
- How Cars Appear: Burning cars will appear one at a time and will be marked with a fire blip on your radar.
- How to Extinguish Cars: Use the water cannon on the fire truck to extinguish the flames. Press Left ALT, Right CTRL, or Num_0 to fire the water cannon without losing nitrous. You can adjust the controls by going to MTA Settings > BINDS and looking for the 'Vehicle Fire' option to change the key for using the water cannon.
- Mission Rewards: After 5 minutes, the mission will end. You will be rewarded based on how many cars you successfully extinguish. If you cancel the mission early, you will NOT receive any rewards.
Fire Safety Level 1 Course
You can take the "Fire Safety Level 1" course to extinguish fires faster. It costs $4,000.
Access the course through the '/courses' command.
Firefighter Promotion System
The Firefighter job has 10 levels based on the number of fires extinguished. The progression system is as follows:
- L0 - Training – 0 Fires
- L1 - Junior Firefighter – 300 Fires
- L2 - Senior Firefighter – 1,200 Fires
- L3 - Assistant Specialist – 2,700 Fires
- L4 - Specialist Firefighter – 4,800 Fires
- L5 - Professional Firefighter – 7,200 Fires
- L6 - Expert Firefighter – 10,200 Fires
- L7 - Chief Firefighter – 14,100 Fires
- L8 - Master Firefighter – 18,900 Fires
- L9 - Executive Firefighter – 24,600 Fires
- L10 - Chief of Department – 31,500 Fires
