The Road Construction cement unloading keybind is configured separately under /sbinds or /settings > Binds as Cement Release Key.

Current task flow

Start at the Employment Office or the local City Engineer marker. City Engineer includes Road Construction and House Construction tasks.

Road Construction uses the assigned work sequence and provides Forklift and Cement Truck spawners. House Construction uses object placement and marking controls. Completing Road Construction adds 2 Progress and Earnings units; completing House Construction adds 1.

After completing the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle course, activate /uav and left-click House Construction objects to build them. UAV building takes longer than normal building.

Starting a road call

Open Road Construction, choose Take a call, and follow the route. Use X on marked positions for roadblocks, use X on the boulder to dismantle it, and use the Forklift to load rocks into the dumper. After filling the hole, wait for the cement to dry, then use X on the roadblocks to remove them and finish. Press O for the current objectives. Green means that an objective is complete.

Task panel and cement key

Use /tasks or F5 to open the City Engineer Job panel, which has Road Construction, House Construction, and Settings tabs. The Road Construction and House Construction tabs each have a Watch video tutorial button. The Settings tab holds exactly three controls:

  • Set current objectives key (Default 'O') - the key that shows your current objectives.
  • Set key to mark house objects - the house construction marking key, None until you set one.
  • Automatically start the same mission after I get paid - a checkbox that restarts the mission.

Cement unloading is configured separately: open /sbinds or /settings > Binds and find Cement Release Key under Job / Activity Binds. It defaults to N and releases cement from the Cement Truck during City Engineer Road Construction, rather than being a control in the job panel's Settings tab.

Construction totals and progress

Level Rank Required Progress Pay multiplier
L0 Trainee 0 1.0x
L1 Unskillful 20 1.2x
L2 Apprentice 40 1.4x
L3 Construction Unit 70 1.6x
L4 Estimator 100 1.8x
L5 Coordinator 150 2.0x
L6 General Laborer 200 2.2x
L7 Foreman 250 2.4x
L8 Civil Engineer 300 2.6x
L9 Site Manager 400 2.8x
L10 Planning Committee 550 3.0x

Each house requires 47 objects, shown by Objects built: <n>/47. Road Construction requires 6 rocks, tracked by Loaded rocks: <n>/6. Levels use Progress: Road Construction gives 2 per completed task and House Construction gives 1.

Tasks still award full job progress when the hourly earn limit reduces their cash payment.
