Electrician
The Electrician job involves maintaining and repairing electrical systems across San Andreas. As an Electrician, you will be assigned various tasks related to power wiring, circuit breakers, and network cable failures. It is a technical job that requires precision and attention to detail. Failure to do tasks correctly may result in injury or death, so it is important to follow the steps carefully.
How to Get the Job
To start the Electrician job, you need to visit the job locations in Los Santos or San Fierro.
- Los Santos: Near the Pay 'n' Spray.
- San Fierro: Near the Motorbike Shop.
Once you are near the job site, type /gps and search for Electrician to get directions. When you arrive at the location, enter the yellow marker to take the job. Upon entering the job site, you'll be teleported inside a building where you will receive tasks related to electrical and network issues.
How to Complete Electrician Tasks
Once you start the job, you’ll see a list of tasks in your F5 menu. The list will display the task number, the issue at the installation, the location of the task, and the distance from your current location.
To start a task:
- Select the task from the F5 menu.
- Travel to the location marked on your map (use F11 for map navigation).
- Once you arrive at the task location, step into the yellow marker and press N to begin.
Tasks are divided into three categories:
1. Blown Cables
This task requires you to repair blown cables by matching the colored wires:
- Yellow to Yellow
- Blue to Blue
- Red to Red
- Pink to Pink
Simply click on the wires that correspond to the same color. This is the simplest task, and if done correctly, it will always be successful.
2. Circuit Breakers
For this task, you will need to reset the circuit breakers. They are numbered, and you must click them in ascending order (e.g., 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6). It’s a simple task, requiring you to click the breakers in the correct sequence.
3. Network Cable Failure
The most complicated task involves fixing network cables. Here’s how to complete it:
- You will be presented with two cables.
- The goal is to align them perfectly in the center of the screen, using the faint white line in the middle as a guide. The cables should not overlap but should be perfectly aligned.
If the cables aren’t aligned correctly, you will receive an error message. The possible error messages are:
- Both cables not aligned: Adjust both cables.
- Left cable not aligned: Fix only the left cable.
- Right cable not aligned: Adjust only the right cable.
- Cables are overlapping: Move the cables apart.
Important Tips for Completing Tasks Efficiently
- /shift Command: Use /shift to quickly reset the task locations if they are bugged or hard to reach.
- Navigating Tight Spaces: Use a BF-400 motorbike for easier access to hard-to-reach areas, especially in San Fierro’s narrow streets.
- Network Cable Task: Focus on one cable at a time. I recommend starting with the left cable and adjusting the right one based on its alignment with the left. If in doubt, use space bar to quickly check the alignment.
