Crane Operator
Crane Operator is a civilian dock job where you load and unload containers at Easter Basin Harbor in San Fierro.
How the job works
Crane Operator is a Civilian job based around moving containers with dock cranes.
The job takes place at Easter Basin Harbor in San Fierro.
How to start
To become a Crane Operator:
- Go to Easter Basin Harbor in San Fierro.
- Take the Crane Operator job.
- Use Crane 1 or Crane 2 to start working.
Cranes
There are 2 cranes in the job:
- Crane 1 is in the southwest and has 5 basic zones
- Crane 2 is in the northeast and has 7 advanced zones
Crane 2 must be docked first.
How it works
As a Crane Operator, you load and unload containers with the crane.
Useful things to watch while working are:
- The magnet load detector, which shows if your crane magnet is holding a container or not
- The ground detection indicator, which shows if the container has touched the ground so you can place it accurately
Commands and Controls
Useful Crane Operator commands include:
- /magnet to release a stuck container
- /prefercrane 1
- /prefercrane 2
- /crane to enter or leave a crane
- /camcr 0-5 to change the camera
- /craneset to change crane keybinds
- /cranesoud to turn crane sounds on or off
Preferred Crane
At Level 2 and above, you can use:
- /prefercrane 1
- /prefercrane 2
This lets you stay on your preferred crane.
Tips
Useful Crane Operator tips:
- Use /prefercrane once you reach Level 2 to stay on your preferred crane
- Check the magnet load detector
- Check the ground detection indicator
- Use /camcr for better visibility
