Updates Changelog

Updates Changelog is an official CIT forum topic used for older recorded server updates.

Changelog notes

The Updates Changelog topic is used to keep older update records in one place.

It exists because:

  • the in game changelog became too long
  • the home page changelog became too long

Instead of keeping all older updates in those shorter changelog areas, they are stored in this forum topic.

Where it is

Updates Changelog is part of the News and Updates board.

What it is used for

The topic is used for:

  • storing older recorded CIT updates
  • keeping historical update records in one place
  • organizing old updates by year

It works as an archive and reference page for past server changes.

How it is organized

The topic is organized by year.

In the shown example:

  • the main topic contains Updates recorded for 2013
  • later replies contain Updates recorded for 2014
  • later replies contain Updates recorded for 2015

Each year is placed in its own section or reply, which makes the topic easier to browse than one very long single post.

How it looks

The topic appears as a normal CIT forum thread.

In the shown example:

  • the topic title is Updates Changelog
  • the first visible author is Arran
  • each year section has its own reply
  • yearly sections use a Show content button

This layout keeps older updates grouped by year while keeping the page cleaner to read.

Why it matters

Updates Changelog is useful for players who want to:

  • check older CIT updates
  • look back at server history
  • find older changes that are no longer shown in the shorter in game or home page changelog
