How to Become a Staff Member in CIT

To become a staff member in CIT, you must meet certain requirements and go through the application process.

Requirements to Apply:

  • Access to cit.gg: You must have access to the CIT website.
  • Regular Community Member (RCM+): You need to be a Regular Community Member or higher to apply.
  • Access to the Administrative Profiles Board: You must be able to access the Administrative Profiles Board where you can submit your application to become a staff member.

You can view the Administrative Profiles Board here: Administrative Profiles Board.

Application Process:

  1. Open a Profile: Create a profile in the Administrative Profiles Board, stating your intention to become a staff member and explaining why you want to join the team.
  2. Review by Administrators: The administrators will review your profile and consider your application.

Necessities You Must Meet/Have:

While there are no specific requirements to apply, there are some important necessities you must meet to be considered for the role of staff:

  • Activity: You must be an active player. Applying for staff while being inactive will not be considered.
  • Time Commitment: You should be willing to dedicate time to monitoring the forums and managing staff duties. This will drastically reduce the time you can spend on civilian jobs, cop and robber activities, turfing, or other in-game duties like CB, SO, or PC.
  • Learning: Staff members must be prepared to learn a lot of new commands, rules, codes of conduct, and more. It’s important to be open to this learning process.
  • IRC Usage: You should be willing to use IRC (Internet Relay Chat) to communicate with the team as long as you are online.

Important Note:

  • Becoming a staff member is a big responsibility and requires sacrificing some of your personal time in-game to perform your duties as a staff member.
