What it means

CL codes come from MTA's launcher, before the game starts: installing an update, finding GTA, loading MTA's own files or starting gta_sa.exe. MTA's own documentation gives this code as Legacy maybe-virus1 label.

How to fix it

Work down the list and stop when it is solved.

1. Repair your MTA installation

   Run the current installer from multitheftauto.com over your existing installation. It replaces MTA's own files without touching your settings.

2. Check what your security software did

   If it quarantined an MTA file, restore it and add an exception for the MTA folder, then reinstall MTA over itself.

3. Use the official client and clean game files

   Install MTA from multitheftauto.com and keep GTA unmodified. Trainers, injected DLLs and patched game files are exactly what these checks look for.
