Hunter: the deer ran away or the hunt failed
As a Hunter, the deer runs away or the hunt ends before you get the Meat. Get out of your vehicle in the search area, then walk or crouch so your noise stays low.
Get out from your vehicle as soon as possible!
Steps
Get out of the vehicle in the search area
If you go into the marked area in a vehicle, get out when the game warns you. Staying in the vehicle can scare the area. Then you must press N again.

Walk or crouch
Go on foot, walking or crouching, so your noise meter stays low.

Keep your noise at 85% or lower
If your noise goes above 85%, you scare the deer away.

Press N again
Only if you scared the deer away.
Press N again. Pressing N uses the decoy and marks the search area.

Find at least 5 traces to see the deer area.
The mission fails if the animal leaves the area.
There is no Hunting Club owner to talk to. Pressing N gives you the decoy.
If you disconnect during the job, Hunter saves your progress and pays you when you log back in.
