Car Show Hosting Guide

Hosting a car show in CIT is a fun and engaging way to showcase vehicles and compete for rewards. To host a car show, you'll need to rent a designated car show area and follow the rules to ensure a smooth and enjoyable event for everyone involved.

How to Host a Car Show

1. Renting the Car Show Area

Before you can start hosting a car show, you must rent the car show area. The process is as follows:

  • /gps > LS car show area (Los Santos)

Once you’ve located the car show area, drive to the location and rent the area to begin organizing your event.

2. Promoting Your Car Show

To gather participants for your car show, you’ll need to promote it effectively. Here are the ways you can advertise your event:

  • Main Chat: Use the /main chat to reach all players.
  • Superadvert: Use /superadvert to send a broadcast that is visible to all CIT players. (Be mindful of spam rules!)

You can also SMS other CEMs or staff to make an event note for your car show, and use /online cem to view who is available.

3. Using the Car Show Note

Once you've rented the area, you can set a car show note. This note can be accessed by pressing 'N' in the car show area, and it is visible to all players who enter.

Important Rules for Car Show Notes:

  • Disabling the Car Show Note: You can disable the car show note using the same setting as for disabling superadvert.
  • Cost: The cost for the car show note is the same as for superadvert.
  • Misuse: Do not misuse the car show note for anything unrelated to the event. Using non-English language can result in a mute by staff.
  • Usage Limits:
    • 3 minutes for Donator Level 3 (DL3).
    • 15 minutes for everyone else.

4. Managing the Car Show

Once you’ve rented the car show area, you can manage the event through a GUI panel. The panel offers several controls, such as:

  • Setting a Prize: Set the prize for the winner.
  • Kick/Ban: Remove disruptive players from the event.
  • Music: Play music that all participants can hear during the event.
  • Entrance Control: Open/close the car show entrance.

The cost for renting the car show area is 100,000 per hour. Once the time expires, you’ll need to rent the area again to continue the event.

5. Prize Distribution

  • Important Note: Make sure to send the prize to the winner before the rental time expires. Failing to do so will result in losing the money.
  • Avoid Scamming: Promising a reward and not delivering it will result in a ban or limit for scamming.
  • No Entry Fees: Charging an entry fee for the car show is strictly forbidden.

6. Event Rules

To ensure the event runs smoothly, participants must follow these rules:

  • Respect Others: Avoid trolling and disruptive behavior. Disrespectful actions could lead to being kicked or banned by the host.
  • Follow the Rules: Make sure everyone adheres to the car show rules. This ensures the event stays enjoyable for all.
