Engine Parts Factory

The Engine Parts Factory is a rentable factory property in CIT. It is shown in the property panel as a Conversion Business.

This factory type also appears in /gps > Factories under names such as SF Doherty Car Factory and LS Car Parts Factory.

It converts several input resources into Engine Parts.

The factory panel shows:

  • Property Name: Engine Parts Factory
  • Business Type: Conversion Business
  • Output of the converted resources: Engine Parts

The in-game description says Engine Parts Factories are responsible for CITizens' supply of Engine Parts to run businesses like Pay'n'Sprays and Transfenders.

Factories were re-enabled in /gps, so players can use the factory category to find them in game.

How To Find Your Factory

If you already rent an Engine Parts Factory, press B, open My Properties, and double-click the rented factory to mark it with a floppy disk blip.

If you only want to browse factory locations, use /gps > Factories.

How The Factory Panel Works

The factory GUI includes:

  • a Goods in your inventory panel
  • a Goods currently invested in this business panel
  • arrow buttons to add resources to the business or take them back
  • a field labeled Insert amount of resources to move

Use the amount field together with the arrow buttons to move resources between your inventory and the factory.

What Engine Parts Are Used For

Engine Parts work on cars and bikes only.

They improve:

  • top speed
  • acceleration
  • crash resistance
  • bullet resistance

Fully upgraded vehicles can reach about 140% of stock speed.

You need 5,079 Engine Parts to reach 140% speed.

Acceleration milestones are about:

  • 5 parts for 103%
  • 8 parts for 106%
  • 21 parts for 118%

Exact acceleration totals can vary by vehicle.

Crash resistance uses Engine Parts with these levels:

  • L1 - 5
  • L2 - 8
  • L3 - 12
  • L4 - 17
  • L5 - 25
  • L6 - 38
  • L7 - 57
  • L8 - 85
  • L9 - 128
  • L10 - 192

The total cost to reach 150% crash resistance is 567 Engine Parts.

If you remove or sell the boost, you get 90% of the parts back.
