Taxi Driver Job

The Taxi Driver job allows you to earn money by transporting passengers across Los Santos and San Fierro. You can either use a Taxi, Cabbie, or Taxi S vehicle to pick up passengers and deliver them to their destinations. In addition to getting paid for every fare, you also have the chance to earn bonus payments by delivering VIP passengers quickly and efficiently.

How to Get the Job:

  1. Job Locations:
    • Doherty, San Fierro (Use /gps > Taxi Driver)
    • Verona Beach, Los Santos (Use /gps > Taxi Driver)
  2. Taking the Job:
    • Once you arrive at either location, enter the building and step into the yellow-orange marker to start the job.
  3. Vehicles Available:
    • Taxi
    • Cabbie
    • Taxi S You can either:
    • Spawn these vehicles from the yellow-orange markers at the job location.
    • Purchase them from a car shop (marked with a blue car icon).

How to Work as a Taxi Driver:

  1. Starting the Job:
    • Once inside your chosen vehicle, press 'N' to begin working as a Taxi Driver.
  2. Picking Up Passengers:
    • Green, Blue, and Red human icons will appear on your map for passengers.
      • Green: Regular passengers within the city (San Fierro or Los Santos).
      • Blue: Intercity passengers (long journeys between cities).
      • Red: VIP passengers (earn extra money if delivered in 70 seconds).
  3. Delivering Passengers:
    • Drive to the grey truck blip on your radar/map to drop off the passenger.
    • Red VIP blips: If you deliver within 70 seconds, you’ll earn 200% of the base fare.
  4. Payment:
    • You’re paid based on the distance and your level.
    • Crashing into objects while transporting passengers will reduce your payment.
    • The faster you complete the trip, the higher your earnings.
  5. Leveling Up:
    • As you level up, your earnings per delivery increase.
    • After reaching Level 10, you can use the /go taxi driver command to take the job instantly.

VIP Passengers:

  • Red Blips on the map represent VIP passengers.
  • Delivering a VIP passenger within 70 seconds results in 200% payment of the base fare.

Additional Tips for Taxi Drivers:

  1. Damage and Payment:
    • Avoid crashing into any objects while transporting passengers, as this will decrease your earnings.
    • The faster you complete a trip, the more money you make.
  2. Vehicle Choices:
    • Taxi S: Best for quick acceleration, ideal for navigating narrow streets.
    • Cabbie: Best for suspension, easier to flip back when flipped.
    • Taxi: Ideal for long-distance trips.
  3. Fueling and Repairing:
    • You can leave your vehicle for 30 seconds with a passenger inside, which allows time for repairing or refueling your taxi.
  4. VIP Bonuses:

  1. Transporting Online Players:
    • You can transport online players and earn $500 every 15 seconds (or $600 if you have VIP hours).
    • Communicate with players using team chat to make your work more enjoyable and find players needing a ride.
  2. Quick Tips for Efficient Work:
    • Use /go taxi driver after reaching Level 10 for quick job access.
    • Always keep repair kits and jerry cans in case of accidents.
