UAV

From CIT Wiki

UAV

The UAV system in CIT allows players to activate a freecam mode, giving them the ability to fly across the map and spectate freely. This feature is useful for a variety of purposes including recording videos, observing players, exploring the map, or simply flying around for fun.

Access Requirement

Before you can use the UAV feature, you must complete the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle course. This course can be accessed by using /courses in-game.

How to Use the UAV

  • Command to activate: /uav
  • Once activated, you'll enter freecam mode, allowing you to:
    • Fly around San Andreas.
    • Record cinematic videos.
    • Monitor player activity (useful for reporting misbehavior).
    • Explore areas such as houses for sale or event locations.

Customizing UAV Settings

You can adjust the behavior of your UAV camera through the in-game settings:

  1. Open Settings: Use /settings and type UAV in the search bar.
  2. UAV Speeds:
    • Format: Three numbers separated by commas.
    • These define how fast the UAV moves at different modes (slow, normal, fast).
    • Default: 0.2,2,12
    • Example: If you want very slow motion, you can set it to 0.001.
  3. UAV Mouse Speed:
    • Adjust this number to control how fast the camera turns when moving your mouse.
    • Ideal for smooth camera control when filming.

Performing Animations in UAV Mode

While you're in UAV mode, you can use the /anim or /animation commands to perform animations. This is especially useful when filming scenes or creating cinematic content. Your character will stay animated while the camera flies freely.
