Pilot

Pilot is a civilian job where you use planes and helicopters to run different air missions.

Overview

Pilot is a Civilian job based around air transport, delivery, and support missions.

You take the job at an airport in Los Santos or San Fierro, enter an aircraft, and start the matching Pilot mission.

Pilot pay depends on flight distance.

Proper runway takeoffs and landings also give a bonus.

How To Start

To become a Pilot:

  1. Use /gps or F3 to find the Pilot job.
  1. Take the job at the airport in LS or SF.
  1. Enter a plane or helicopter to start the matching Pilot mission.

How It Works

Pilot missions depend on the aircraft you enter.

After one delivery ends, you can start another mission and follow the new marker.

The same destination should not be given twice in a row.

Aircraft and Roles

Different aircraft have different Pilot missions.

Passenger aircraft

These aircraft carry passengers between airports:

  • Dodo
  • Beagle

These aircraft carry larger passenger loads, including international flights:

  • Shamal
  • AT-400

On these aircraft, press Space to let players board:

  • Shamal
  • Andromada

Resource and cargo aircraft

These aircraft handle cargo or resource work:

  • Andromada carries resource crates and uses M to cycle payout resources
  • Cargobob transports vehicles and can be paid in cash or resources
  • Leviathan moves cargo containers with Space and can be paid in cash or resources

Special mission aircraft

These aircraft have special roles:

  • Nevada runs supply deliveries from Verdant Meadows
  • Cropduster clears infested areas
  • Stuntplane performs airshows
  • Maverick carries rich passengers
  • Transport Maverick carries rich passengers
  • Raindance helps firefighters by filling and dropping water with Space

Commands and Controls

Useful Pilot commands and controls include:

  • /assist
  • /drop
  • /r <message>
  • C
  • /cruise
  • Space
  • M

What they do

  • /r lets you talk on the pilot radio
  • /assist helps keep the aircraft steady when your speed is above 230
  • C or /cruise enables cruise control
  • /drop lowers glued players slowly down to the ground from a helicopter
  • Space is used for boarding on Shamal and Andromada
  • Space is also used by Leviathan for cargo container work
  • M cycles payout resources on the Andromada

Payment

Pilot pay depends on flight distance.

Proper runway takeoffs and landings also give a bonus.

Leviathan and Cargobob can be paid in:

  • Cash
  • Resources

Skin

Pilot uses these skin IDs:

  • 61
  • 1033

Progression

Pilot ranks are:

  • L0 Student Pilot, 0 miles
  • L1 Aviator, 95 miles
  • L2 Licensed Aviator, 190 miles
  • L3 Advanced Aviator, 475 miles
  • L4 Flight Engineer, 855 miles
  • L5 Flight Officer, 1,235 miles
  • L6 Co-Captain, 1,805 miles
  • L7 Captain, 2,755 miles
  • L8 Executive, 3,895 miles
  • L9 Chief Executive, 5,035 miles
  • L10 God of the Skies, 6,650 miles

At Level 10, you unlock:

  • /go Pilot

Important Notes

  • Pilot starts at the airport in LS or SF.
  • Use /gps or F3 to find it.
  • Entering an aircraft starts the matching Pilot mission.
  • Different aircraft have different mission types.
  • Pilot pay is based on flight distance.
  • Proper runway takeoffs and landings give a bonus.
  • /assist only helps when your speed is above 230.
  • Leviathan and Cargobob can be paid in cash or resources.
  • After one mission ends, you can start another one right away.
