Pickpocket

Pickpocket is a criminal activity where you try to steal money or drugs from another player.

How it works

Pickpocket is one of the smaller criminal activities in CIT.

It is done directly on another player and can reward cash, drugs, and Reputation Points.

If the attempt fails, you do not get the reward.

More details

To pickpocket a player:

  1. Stand next to the player.
  1. Press X.
  1. Click the player.
  1. Choose pickpocket.

If you are caught, the pickpocket attempt fails.

Rewards

A successful pickpocket gives:

  • 35 RP
  • either $5,000 cash or one random drug type worth $5,000 at its current average price, capped by the target's available stock

Cooldowns and Limits

A successful pickpocket places a 30 minute success lock on that target. Another attempt against the same target is blocked for 60 seconds, and a player who was pickpocketed is protected for 10 minutes.

Protection

Use /equip and equip CITstar Bag to prevent pickpocketing. A Backpack prevents anything from being stolen.

Controls

Pickpocket uses these controls:

  • X to interact with the player
  • Mouse click to select the player and choose pickpocket

Pickpocket Notes

  • You must stand next to the target player.
  • Pickpocket is done through the X interaction menu.
  • If you are caught, the attempt fails.

  • The same player cannot be pickpocketed again right away.
  • Some players may have protection equipped against pickpocketing.

  • You can target at most 5 players within 25 meters of where you started.
