Traffic Officer

The Traffic Officer Job is designed for those in the Police Officer job who want to specialize in managing traffic, enforcing speed limits, and handling road-related crimes. As a Traffic Officer, you will be able to catch speeding players, deploy spike strips to stop criminals, and assist with abandoned vehicle recovery. This role offers unique capabilities that help maintain order on the streets of San Andreas.

How to Become a Traffic Officer

  • To become a Traffic Officer, you must first reach Level 2 as a Police Officer. Once eligible, go to the LSPD or SFPD front entrance and touch the blue marker to join the job. Make sure you quit any other jobs before entering. (Press X > Click Yourself > Quit Job).
  • Alternatively, with 100,000 Arrest Points (AP), you can use the command /go traffic officer to switch to the Traffic Officer job directly.

Job Duties and Capabilities

  • Arresting Players: As a Traffic Officer, you can arrest players just like a regular police officer, using your nightstick or shoot them
  • Catching Speeding Players: Use your camera to "aim" at players driving above 110 KPH. This will register their speed and grant you a monetary reward.
  • Deploying Spike Strips: You can deploy spike strips to disable the vehicles of wanted criminals. To deploy, use the command /stinger. The spikes last for about 1 minute, after which they will disappear unless redeployed.

Abandoned Vehicle Recovery

  • Look for pink tractor blips on your map. Drive to the location with a tow truck to pick up abandoned vehicles.
  • Once the vehicle is attached, proceed to the truck blip to receive payment in Iron. Each abandoned vehicle gives you 500 Iron upon successful delivery.
  • There are 6 abandoned vehicles available in Los Santos and 3 in San Fierro at any given time.

Special Features and Access

  • Once you reach 100,000 Arrest Points, you will unlock special access to the Traffic Officer job through the command /go traffic officer.
  • Deploying Spike Strips has a cooldown of 7 seconds, so use them strategically.
