Police

Police is one of the four main sides in CIT. The police side focuses on tracking wanted players, arresting or killing criminals, defending Armed Robberies and Criminal Events, using law-side tools, and unlocking specialist police jobs and vehicles.

This page covers the police side itself, including joining, arrests, APBs, police jobs, vehicles, law areas, commands, and police progression.

Police players can:

How to Become Police

To become a police officer:

  • go to the front entrance of LSPD or SFPD
  • leave your current job if needed
  • enter the police job marker

New players can also use:

  • /lspd

You can also take the police job at:

  • Law Farm

At:

  • 100,000 law points

you can use:

  • /go Police Officer

To leave the police job instantly, use:

  • /quitjob

Police can also use:

  • /shift

to go on duty, go off duty, or reset the job more quickly.

What Police Do

The police side is used to:

  • arrest wanted criminals
  • patrol and enforce the law
  • respond to criminal activity
  • defend objectives during robberies and events

After becoming a cop, the normal police flow is:

  1. open the Police Computer with F5
  2. find wanted players
  3. track them
  4. arrest them with the nightstick or kill them
  5. send them to jail

Cops can kill wanted criminals, and it counts the same as arresting them with the nightstick.

LSPD Yard utilities

The LSPD yard has:

  • a police vehicle spawner
  • a weapon shop
  • a rapid transporter
  • vehicle recovery pads
  • a Pay 'n' Spray marker in the garage
  • a marker to reach the LSPD roof

Arrests, Tazer, Jail, and Wanted

Nightstick and tazer

The police Nightstick is the arrest weapon for non-violent wanted players.

To arrest with it:

  • hit the target 3 times

The Taser is the law stun weapon.

Important tazer facts:

  • it replaces the pistol
  • it does no damage
  • it is used before arresting with the nightstick

You cannot arrest players inside vehicles with the nightstick.

Sending players to jail

Wanted players are sent to jail when police:

  • kill them
  • taze them and arrest them

Jail time depends on:

  • the player's wanted level

For jail fines:

  • /payjailfine needs cash in hand
  • bank money does not work

Jailed players can:

  • change skin
  • use CJ clothes
  • choose a walkstyle
  • switch fight styles
  • use the gambling machines

Criminals can also escape prison with:

  • a helicopter landed inside the prison yard

Wanted system

Players become wanted by:

  • aiming at police
  • committing criminal acts

Graffiti can only give wanted:

  • 3 times per 10 minutes

The stars above a player's head show:

  • that player's wanted level

To check wanted information, use:

  • /wl

/wl shows:

  • your wanted stars
  • the top 3 most wanted players

Protected Areas

Wanted players cannot be damaged inside Protected Areas, but:

  • they can only jog there
  • cops can still taze and arrest them there

Protected Areas include places such as:

  • hospitals
  • the LSPD yard
  • prison release

APB

APB means:

  • All Points Bulletin

It is a server-wide alert for very wanted criminals.

APB rules

  • APBs start at 1000 Wanted Points
  • up to 3 APBs can exist at once
  • both cops and criminals can see APB alerts
  • the APB target gets a yellow star blip
  • /apb shows the target, location, and whether the target is inside an Armed Robbery

When an APB is posted, the top-screen alert says:

  • "<name> posted an APB on <name>, assist in arresting them!"

An APB is removed when the target:

  • is arrested
  • dies
  • quits while a cop is nearby

Police Tools and Communication

Police Computer

Press:

  • F5

to open the Police Computer.

It shows:

  • wanted players
  • distance
  • city
  • team
  • transport type

It also lets you:

  • click a suspect to track them on the map
  • filter by wanted level
  • filter by transport
  • filter by city

It also shows law stats such as:

  • arrests
  • law points
  • Bomb Disposal level
  • danger level
  • online law count

Emergency Chat

Use:

  • /e <message>

for Emergency Chat.

Emergency Chat is used for:

  • backup calls
  • regrouping
  • law coordination
  • quick alerts about Armed Robberies, Criminal Events, and riots

It is not meant for normal discussion.

AI Partner

Use:

  • /partner

to get an AI partner.

Rules:

  • it works when danger level is above 1.5
  • you can use it while inside a vehicle
  • the partner is removed if the cop dies

Megaphone

Use:

  • /mp <message>

while riding in a police vehicle to send a nearby megaphone message.

Quick-switch commands

The documented quick-switch commands are:

  • /go Police Officer at 100,000 law points
  • /go Traffic Officer at 100,000 Arrest Points after unlock
  • /go Police Detective at 100,000 Arrest Points after unlock
  • /go Bomb Disposal at 100,000 Arrest Points after unlock
  • /go Police Medic if the police side is unlocked
  • /go Chief for Police Chiefs

Traffic Officer

Traffic Officer has the same powers as a normal Police Officer, but focuses on:

  • speed enforcement
  • camera checks
  • /stinger spike strips

To catch speeders:

  • aim at a vehicle with your camera
  • if it is going over 110 km/h, you can detect the speed and fine the driver

Speeding fine details:

  • the maximum fine is $20,000
  • Traffic Officers keep 90% of the fine

Traffic Officers can also use:

The abandoned vehicle recovery mission for Traffic Officer is currently:

  • disabled

The disabled mission used:

  • pink tractor icons
  • a tow truck
  • a reward of 500 Iron per abandoned vehicle delivered

Police Detective

Police Detectives investigate murders.

The detective flow is:

  1. go to the crime scene
  2. photograph the dead body
  3. photograph and pick up clues
  4. open the Case File with M
  5. question suspects or find the murder weapon
  6. identify the guilty suspect

Police Detective case types are:

  • questioning
  • kill
  • evidence

Bomb Disposal

Bomb Disposal is a law job inside the:

  • LSPD interior in Los Santos

To start it:

  • take the blue Bomb Disposal marker next to the bomb-suit ped

The Bomb Disposal flow is:

  1. go to the skull blip
  2. kill the nearby criminals
  3. solve the bomb puzzle
  4. finish before time runs out

Helpful details:

  • press N to mark the bomb route
  • the puzzle is solved by turning black spaces white and connecting the same-colored roads
  • you can press Cancel to abort safely
  • if you fail to defuse the bomb in time, the bomb explodes and the mission fails
  • you cannot defuse while enemies are alive
  • while the Bomb Disposal GUI is open, you only take 25% damage

Police Medic

Police Medic can be taken:

  • at the police station
  • with /go Police Medic if the police side is unlocked

Police Medics can also do paramedic revive side missions.

To do the revive mission:

  1. get in an Ambulance or Medic Car
  2. look for the red + icon
  3. drive to it
  4. press N to begin the revive
  5. press Space when the marker enters the box

Gang Intervention Unit (GIU)

Gang Intervention Unit, or GIU, is a specialized LSPD role focused on gang activity and LS turf conflicts.

GIU officers can:

  • engage in `LS` turf fights while staying in the police service
  • capture `LS` turfs under `Government`
  • use a spray can the same way as `LS` gangsters

GIU operates under strict limitations:

  • officers cannot arrest wanted suspects
  • officers cannot interact with wanted suspects
  • the role is focused only on gang intervention and turf control
  • officers cannot use jetpacks while in the `GIU` job

GIU reward rules:

  • `GIU` receives reduced police payments
  • turf rewards are shared across all active `GIU` officers on duty

With VIP:

  • recovered law vehicles can be brought directly to your location

MPCC Truck

The MPCC Truck is a:

  • Mobile Police Command Center

It lets law players:

  • teleport to its location
  • spawn at its location

Restrictions include:

  • you cannot use it if you already used it in the last 2 minutes
  • it must be in the main world
  • it cannot be inside a safe base or riot area
  • it must have had a driver since it spawned
  • it cannot be in water
  • it cannot be broken down
  • it cannot be moving
  • it cannot be within 200 meters of an Armed Robbery
  • cops cannot spawn at or teleport to it when danger level is below 0.8
  • it will not accept spawns within 200 meters of the Van Heist if danger level is below 1.9

Sirens System

The Sirens System lets police level:

  • 20+

customize visual light effects on supported police vehicles.

Notes:

  • it is visual only
  • you can place up to 8 sirens on each supported vehicle
  • siren profiles are saved per vehicle

Custom sirens do not work on:

Police Activities

Armed Robberies

To check active Armed Robberies, use:

  • /arl

To pin the readout on screen, use:

  • /arl update

To join an Armed Robbery as police:

  • use /arl
  • or use the red money bag on F11

Cops must then wait for:

  • Anti-Rush

Danger Level compares cops and criminals.

Police cannot place stingers:

  • within 50 meters of an active Armed Robbery

Criminal Events

In a Criminal Event, cops:

  • try to stop criminals
  • defend the target

Police can earn:

  • RP
  • other rewards for kills
  • top kills
  • top damage

Police Predator Mission

The Police Predator Mission is also called:

  • the Predator Mission

It is a police boat mission against AI smugglers.

To start it:

  • use a Predator boat
  • enter it
  • press N

To complete it:

  1. go to Ocean Docks
  2. follow the red shield blips to the smugglers' boat
  3. destroy it
  4. kill the two smugglers
  5. take the drug crate
  6. return to Ocean Docks

Rewards:

  • $15,000
  • $18,000 with VIP
  • 30 hits of a random drug worth up to $15,000

The mission fails if you:

  • get too far from your boat
  • die
  • hide the boat

Law Areas and Special Police Rules

Law Farm

The Law Farm is a law-only area in Red Country east of Dillimore.

It has:

  • law vehicle spawners
  • repair stations
  • refuel stations
  • walkstyle selectors
  • fightstyle selectors
  • armor pickups
  • parachute pickups
  • a heli shop
  • training space

To go there:

  • open F11
  • double click the Law Farm icon

Law Dimension

The Law Dimension is a private law sandbox for:

  • practice
  • testing

Rules:

  • it is not for chasing criminals
  • only law players can enter

The Law Dimension supports:

  • /createveh <vehicle name>
  • /flip
  • /repair
  • /jetpack

Criminal Villa

Police cannot teleport to:

If there are no wanted criminals there and criminals ask cops to leave:

  • cops must leave

Jefferson Motel

The Jefferson Motel is in north-east Los Santos, Jefferson.

It is a cops-versus-criminals interior with:

  • 2 entrances
  • one parking-area entrance
  • one roof entrance
  • 3 armor pickups

Look for the:

  • white JFM marker on the map

Important Jefferson Motel rules:

  • cops cannot arrest with the nightstick inside JFM
  • cops can only kill inside JFM
  • medics can enter to heal both cops and criminals
  • cops and criminals cannot take damage for the first 5 seconds after entering
  • criminals become wanted after staying in JFM for more than 10 seconds
  • cops and criminals cannot see each other's local chat inside JFM

To check how many players are inside, use:

  • /jfmplayers

AFK and LV rules

Cops in the main dimension are auto off-duty after:

  • more than 10 minutes AFK

Cops are not set off shift when they are in:

  • LV

Police Chief

Police Chief is the leadership role above the normal police job ladder.

Police Chiefs:

  • support cops
  • coordinate law activity
  • manage APBs
  • manage riots
  • help keep professionalism on the law side

Police Chiefs can also:

  • place barriers
  • recover law vehicles with Num_03
  • enter any base
  • place law blips
  • temporarily ban players from joining the police job
  • car-jack the driver for their team in the Van Heist

The documented Police Chief commands include:

The maximum police level is:

  • 60

Later police levels unlock things such as:

Arrest Points and Law Points

  • Arrest Points are your personal unlock stat
  • Law Points are a group ranking stat
  • your Arrest Points convert to Law Points for your group at 1:1

  • killing wanted criminals
  • arresting wanted criminals
