The Hydra is a powerful military VTOL (Vertical Take-Off and Landing) jet featured in CIT. Known for its high mobility and deadly missile system, the Hydra is one of the most effective combat vehicles in the game, rivaling even the Hunter helicopter in terms of firepower and versatility.
How to Obtain a Hydra
- Price: $50,000,000
- Where to Buy: Aircraft Shop (plane icon on your minimap at any airport in San Andreas)
- Selling Hydra: Selling deducts 10% from the original purchase price
How to Control the Hydra

Tip: Use landing mode for hovering like a helicopter, and flying mode for fast traversal like a plane.
Missile Cost and Rocket System
- Each missile fired costs $2,000
- Law Dimension Exception: Rocket usage is free in the law dimension
Auto Repair Feature
- Hydra repairs itself by 7% HP every 5 seconds
- This only works if you’re not moving
Impact Disruption Restriction
To prevent abuse, the Hydra has restrictions if you exit the vehicle and it hits another player and make him fly away, mainly in any Armed Robbery, you get admin jailed for making the criminal fail the robbery unfairly.
No Disruption Penalty If:
- You're in Las Venturas (LV)
- You're not in the main dimension
- You're 200 meters or more above sea level
- No player is within 75 meters
This prevents unfair kills during combat by jumping out of the Hydra and letting it fall on enemies.
