F11 Map

F11 Map is the full map panel in CIT. It is used to view your location, important markers, destinations, and several map based travel and navigation functions.

F11 controls

Action	Use	Notes
Open map	`F11`	Shows your location and important markers.
Zoom	Mouse wheel	Zoom in or out.
Move map	Hold click	Drag the map.
Reset map	Press mouse wheel	Resets zoom and position.
Place waypoint	Click a destination	Places a GPS waypoint.
Remove waypoint	`M`	You can also use `/gps` then `Stop GPS`.
Warp	Double click a destination	Only works if that destination supports warping.
Help text	`Z`	Shows or hides F11 help text.
Transparency	`+` or `-`	Changes map transparency.

Map categories and markers

F11 can toggle categories like Bases, Landmarks, food places, robberies, jobs, shops, properties, transport, arenas, and other main destinations.
Gangsters can see turfs on F11.
Zooming in on a job blip shows the job name.
To mark a custom location, open F11, hold right mouse button to show the cursor, then click the map.

How to use F11

To open the map, press:

F11

The F11 map shows:

your location
important markers
destination icons
toggleable map categories

It is also used for:

placing GPS waypoints
sharing a map waypoint with your team
warping from supported destinations
checking turfs if you are a gangster

CIT Map Guide

CIT Map Guide is a static map guide. It lets you search CIT places, filter marker types and regions, check what each icon means, open the wiki for more information, and report wrong markers.

Do not treat every CIT Map Guide icon as a visible in game marker. Some map entries are only places or GPS style destinations.

What it shows

The F11 map shows your position and important map markers.

Gangsters can also use it to see:

turfs

In LS, you may need to zoom in more to see turf information clearly.

Toggleable categories

The F11 map lets you toggle many icon categories.

The listed categories include:

Bases
Landmarks
food places
robberies
jobs
shops
properties
transport
arenas
other main destinations

Map controls

The F11 map has built in controls for zooming, moving, resetting, help text, and transparency.

Control	Use

`Z`	Show or hide the `F11` help text
`+`	Increase or change map transparency
`-`	Decrease or change map transparency

GPS waypoints

The F11 map can place GPS waypoints.

Place a waypoint

To place a GPS waypoint:

click a destination on F11

Remove a waypoint

A GPS waypoint goes away when you get close to it.

You can also remove it by opening:

/gps

Then click:

Stop GPS

Team sharing

Players cannot share a GPS waypoint with their team.

Warping from the map

Some destinations on the F11 map support warping.

To warp there:

double click a destination on F11

Warping only works:

if that destination supports warping

Apartment use

F11 also has a special apartment only teleport use.

While already inside your apartment:

press F11
double click a spot on the map

This teleports you:

within your apartment dimension

This does not work as normal world travel.

Turfs on the F11 map

Gangsters can use F11 to check turfs.

General turf view

Gangsters can see turf areas on the map.

LS turf cluster map

In LS, zooming in on F11 can show:

turf clusters instead of single turfs

This is used to reduce clutter.

Cluster text is visible only to:

gangsters

Reading turf info

If LS turfs do not show clearly:

zoom in more on F11

The owner label can also show:

whether a turf pays drugs
whether a turf pays resources

Group and alliance names on F11

There is a setting for showing names on the F11 map.

To show group and alliance member names on F11:

open /settings
find Enable Group/Alliance Member Names in F11
set it to Group and Alliance

You can also disable that setting.

Radar and map related settings

The Radar/Mini-Map section in /settings includes map related settings connected to the map and minimap system.

Listed settings include:

Minimap Zoom
Minimap Zoom Out When Fast
Player Blip Distance
Minimap Blips Size
Job Vehicle Spawn Visible Distance

Radar Image

Radar Image controls which radar image file your minimap uses.

It also supports a custom image in:

mods/deathmatch/resources/CITradar/images/

After changing it:

use F11 to refresh the map if needed

Map limits

F11 is the full map, not the /gps panel.
Some destinations support double click warping, but not all of them.
Gangster turf information on F11 depends on zoom level in some areas, especially LS.
Apartment double click teleport only works while you are already inside your apartment.

CITmap Counts

These counts come from the CITmap data. Use them as quick count summaries only. Some CITmap icons are custom.

Other means counties, small towns, airports, sea points, or non city areas as labelled in CITmap.
