Bans Issued

Bans Issued Board is the forum board used for certain punishment appeals in CIT.

Appeal Use

The Bans Issued Board is used for appealing these punishments:

normal bans
limit bans
fullmute bans
mutes lasting 3 days or longer

If your punishment matches one of those types, this is the board you use instead of the normal punishment appeal board.

When to use it

When not to use it

Do not use the Bans Issued Board for:

mutes under 3 days

Appeal title

For an in game punishment appeal, use this title format:

Punishment Appeal - Punished by [CIT]NameHere

Appeal format

For an in game punishment appeal, include these lines:

Your nick when you were punished
Groups & Squads you're involved in
When were you punished "Date/Time"
Account name
Who punished you
What was the reason (rule you broke)
Duration of the punishment
What language is used (if any)
Explain what happened
Why do you think it was unfair?
Chat Logs from your local MTA logs or forum URLs

MTA's ban messages say what was banned: Disconnected: Serial is banned., Disconnected: You are banned., or Disconnected: Account is banned., each followed by Reason: and the reason. Other ban messages are Disconnected: You were banned by followed by a name, and Disconnected: you are banned from this server. Kick messages include Disconnected: You were kicked by followed by a name, and You were kicked from the game, sometimes with extra text in brackets.

the punishment details
your explanation
the needed evidence
chat logs or forum URLs when relevant

How appeals are reviewed

BAMs handle bans issued by former or inactive staff. PAMs review other punishment appeals under the appeal rules. PAM tasks:

review punishment appeals
check logs and proof
contact the punishing staff member if needed
decide whether the punishment stays
decide whether the punishment is removed
decide whether a custom duration or severity should be adjusted

Appeal timing

Appeals are not answered immediately.

They need time to be reviewed properly.

Appeal Notes

Bans Issued Board is only for certain punishment types.
Long mutes also go there if they last 3 days or longer.
Short mutes do not go there.
Use the correct title and full appeal format when posting.
