Changing CJ's Appearance

Changing CJ's Appearance lets you customize your CJ skin with clothes, accessories, hairstyles, and tattoos.

Customization use

CJ customization is done through clothing stores.

From the customization menu, you can change different parts of CJ's look and manage what is currently equipped.

How to start

Use the CJ skin for the clothes, tattoos, and accessories interface. With another skin, the store lets you switch to CJ.

To find a clothing store:

Look for a T-shirt icon on the map
Or use /gps, search cloth, and double click a clothing store

To open the customization menu:

Go inside the store
Walk into the red marker. Law players press Z in the marker.

How The Menu Works

Inside the customization screen:

Click and drag the model to rotate CJ
Click an item to buy it
Open Current Clothes to remove equipped items

Hairstyles

CJ can change hairstyles.

Tattoos

CJ can get tattoos on these body parts:

Left upper arm
Left lower arm
Right upper arm
Right lower arm
Back
Left chest
Right chest
Stomach
Lower back

Removing Clothes

To remove an equipped clothing item:

Open Current Clothes
Take the item off there

Customization Notes

Use /gps and search cloth if you need a clothing store
Clothing stores are also shown with a T-shirt icon on the map
The red marker inside the store opens the customization menu; law players press Z.
You can rotate CJ by clicking and dragging the model
Clothes are bought by clicking the item
Equipped clothes are removed from Current Clothes
Hairstyles are changed from the Hair tab

Related notes

The animations GUI and CJ clothes GUI have search boxes.
Buy an Outfit Slot for $50,000 from AI Trader in F7. It is non-refundable. In the CJ clothes interface, open Outfits and use Save outfit or Load outfit for your owned slots.
Overeating at food shops makes CJ fat and the Gym can make CJ lose fat.

Clothing and hairstyle prices

Buying an item you already bought charges its full price again, even on a later day. Each item costs the same for every player.

Each item is priced on its own, so items in the same category do not all cost the same. Shirts run $100 to $5,000, trousers $100 to $3,000, shoes $100 to $1,000 (bare feet cost $20), hats $100 to $2,200, necklaces $400 to $1,000, watches $250 to $1,000, and glasses $100 to $2,500. Every suit costs $5,000.

Most hairstyles cost $1,000; six special styles cost $5,000.

Tattoo prices

CJ can get tattoos on the left upper arm, left lower arm, right upper arm, right lower arm, back, left chest, right chest, stomach, and lower back. The price is fixed per body part rather than per design, and runs from $230 to $365; every tattoo for the same body part costs the same.
