Fisherman
Fisherman
Fisherman is a civilian job where you catch fish from land or from a Reefer boat.

How to fish
Fisherman can be done from land near water or from a Reefer boat. The land method is the River Fisherman mission, which uses a fishing rod near rivers, lakes, or the ocean.

Reefer boat method
Drive the Reefer into the water, then fish from it by moving left for fish and right for rubbish until your net fills. Unload at the red S icon. At 25% fish population or lower, the area cannot be used; move to another area.
Reefer fishing shows these messages:
- After you take the job in a boat, and again after each unload:
Find a well populated area to catch fish in your net.andWhen you see a fish, press the 'MOVE LEFT' key. When you see rubbish, press the 'MOVE RIGHT' key. - Each catch shows as one green line at the bottom right, such as
Gurnard caught! Value: $25. Fish population and net capacity have their own two bars. - Unloading the net shows two green lines, for example
You collected 157 units of fish, sell it in F7.andYou collected 66 units of nitrous, sell it in F7.

River Fisherman
River Fisherman uses a circular minigame and can pay in cash or fish. Press N to change the payment choice. The Fishing Methods course also applies to River Fisherman.
River Fisherman distinction
River Fisherman is the land method of Fisherman, not a separate progression track. Both methods share the Fisherman level and progress. The Fisherman Info Board shows Progress, Fish Sales, the Top player, and hourly earnings against the earn limit.
Current boat and river controls
At the local Fisherman marker, press N to return to the Employment Office. With a Reefer, move left when you see a fish and move right when you see rubbish. A partly filled net can be unloaded; it does not need to be full.
River Fisherman starts with /fish near usable water. Hold RMB to aim, click LMB to cast, and click LMB again while the line is out to cancel. In the circular minigame, click LMB on the thick white target for 3 hits in a row, or press RMB to cancel. Once employed, N switches Cash and Fish payment.
Fish can be sold at the blue marker next to the Fisherman job marker or traded in F7.
Reefer resource split
A Reefer unload converts the net's total catch value into resources:
- Progress value is
floor(total catch value x Fisherman level rate x 1.1), then rounded down again after multiplying by1.2with VIP. - Total units are
floor(progress value / current Fish F7 value). - Fish are
ceil(total units x 0.70); Nitrous arefloor(total units x 0.30).
Rubbish fills the net and reduces its catch value. A full net holds 60 catches, and Net capacity is floor(catches x 100 / 60). You can unload a partial net. The earn-limit counter increases by total awarded units times the current Fish price, which can be slightly below the progress value.
For example, an L0 net worth $3,550 gave 18,744 progress. At a Fish value of $67, it unloaded as 196 Fish and 83 Nitrous, adding $18,693 to the earn-limit counter.
Reefer catch values differ from River Fisherman values. These are catch values before level and resource conversion, not F7 sale prices. A catch's cash value is not a count of Fish items.
