River Fisherman is the land-fishing method of Fisherman, sharing its level and progress. Stand near usable water as a civilian and use /fish to start; N changes payment after you are employed, not before.
Payment choice
Press N while working to switch payment between Cash and Fish. An on-screen message shows the current selection. Fish payment converts the catch's cash value using the current Fish value and rounds down to whole units.
Fishing minigame
Press Left Mouse Button when the line crosses the thick white target segment. The thin circular outline is not the target.

Pay facts
Cash pay is floor(fish base value x Fisherman level rate). The rate starts at 4.8 at L0 and rises by 0.96 per level to 14.4 at L10. A $30 Gurnard pays $144 at L0 and $431 at L10 before applicable benefits. The L10 amount is one dollar under 30 x 14.4 because of how the game rounds.
VIP alone adds 20% to River Fisherman cash. With this bonus, the game floors the base payment first, then floors the result after multiplying by 1.2. With VIP, a $30 Gurnard pays $172 at L0 and $517 at L10. At L10 with the bonus, a $100 fish pays $1,726, a $160 fish $2,764, a $250 fish $4,318, a Blue Whale $20,736 and a Killer Whale $34,558.
At L10 with both VIP and Fishing Methods, a $50 Big Sardine pays $862, and a $130 Golden Gurnard pays $2,245. These amounts apply to that combined condition.

Course effect
The Fishing Methods course can turn a sardine catch into a valuable tuna. It also works with River Fisherman.
Rapid Transport
River Fisherman has no job-specific Rapid Transport restriction. Wanted players still cannot use Rapid Transport.

Stand near usable water as a Civilian and use /fish. Hold RMB to aim and click LMB to cast. While the line is out, LMB cancels fishing.
The circular minigame needs 3 successful hits in a row. Click LMB when the line crosses the thick white target segment. Press RMB to cancel the minigame.
