Fuel System

Fuel System is the vehicle-fuel system in CIT.

It controls how vehicles are refuelled and how players restore fuel when driving normally or after a vehicle runs out of fuel.

Overview

The `Fuel System` is used for:

refuelling vehicles at gas stations
refuelling empty vehicles with a `Jerry Can`
improving fuel refills through `Basic Fuel Skills`
giving free refuelling through `Lifetime Motor Club Membership`

How to refuel a vehicle

There are 2 main ways to refuel a vehicle in CIT:

at a `Gas Station`
with a `Jerry Can`

Gas Stations

`Gas Stations` are the normal fuel refill locations in CIT.

They are used for:

refuelling vehicles
restoring fuel without using a `Jerry Can`

How to refuel at a Gas Station

To refuel your vehicle at a gas station:

drive into the fuel marker at the station

When done correctly:

your vehicle refuels there

The fuel marker at a gas station is:

a transparent circular marker

Map icon

On the map and minimap, gas stations use:

the `Gas Stations` blip
a fuel-pump icon

Jerry Can

A `Jerry Can` is the backup fuel item used when a vehicle runs out of fuel.

When it is used

A `Jerry Can` is mainly used when:

your vehicle is out of fuel

How to use a Jerry Can

To refuel an empty vehicle with a `Jerry Can`:

get out of the vehicle
press X
click the vehicle
use `Refuel Vehicle`

How to get a Jerry Can

A `Jerry Can` can be obtained by:

crafting it in `F9`
buying it from `F7`

Jerry Can recipe

To craft a `Jerry Can` in `F9`, you need:

`50 Oil`
`25 Iron`

Basic Fuel Skills

`Basic Fuel Skills` is a course in /courses.

It costs:

$24,000

It gives:

`20%` extra fuel when refuelling vehicles

This bonus applies when you refuel.

Lifetime Motor Club Membership

`Lifetime Motor Club Membership` gives:

free unlimited refuelling at gas stations

It applies to:

all your owned vehicles
any job-marker spawned vehicles

It also gives:

free unlimited `Pay 'n' Spray` repairs
free roadside repairs

The price is:

$100,000,000

Fuel is also connected to some other systems in CIT.

Notes

The normal way to refuel is by driving into the gas-station fuel marker.
If a vehicle runs out of fuel, you can use a `Jerry Can`.
`Basic Fuel Skills` gives `20%` extra fuel when refuelling.
`Lifetime Motor Club Membership` gives free unlimited gas-station refuelling.
