Mobile ATM

Mobile ATM is the portable banking feature in CIT. It lets you open the ATM system without going to a physical ATM marker.

Mobile ATM notes

Mobile ATM is used for:

checking your bank balance
depositing money
withdrawing money
transferring money
using PIN protected withdrawals and transfers

It is the mobile version of the normal ATM system.

Access

Everyone can open the Mobile ATM interface. Safe Online Banking is not required to open it.

Through remote Mobile ATM routes, Deposit, Withdraw, and Deposit All Cash require the Safe Online Banking course from /courses. The other tabs remain available without the course. A physical ATM marker allows all banking actions without the course.

How to open it

Open Mobile ATM remotely with any of these routes:

X, click yourself, then Mobile ATM

What it does

Mobile ATM opens the banking system without requiring a normal ATM marker.

It can be used for:

checking your balance
depositing money
withdrawing money
transferring money

Sending money with Mobile ATM

To send money to another player with Mobile ATM:

open the Transfer tab
select a recipient from the searchable Online players list, or enter their case-sensitive account name
enter the amount, your PIN if set, and a reason
press Review Transfer

You can also transfer money to:

offline players, by typing their account name directly

Transfer limits

Money transfers through Mobile ATM follow the normal bank transfer limits.

A transfer may fail if:

you reached your weekly send limit
the other player reached their weekly receive limit
you do not have enough money
you have transfer restrictions from rule violations
the other player has transfer restrictions from rule violations

Community Event Managers have an additional $400,000,000 weekly cash transfer limit on top of their normal limit.

PIN protection

Mobile ATM uses the normal bank PIN protection system for withdrawals and transfers.

A PIN is used to:

protect bank withdrawals and transfers

Access notes

CITPhone money transfers

The old /amt command is no longer used because CITPhone money transfers are disabled. Send money through the bank with /bank, /atm, or /mobileatm instead.

Current Mobile ATM panel

Use /bank, /atm, or /mobileatm to open the CIT - Mobile ATM. The panel has Account, Transfer, Other, and PIN tabs, and /bank is available to everyone.

The line beneath your balance shows Safe Online Banking course passed - full account access in green after passing the course, or Limited access - pass Safe Online Banking in /courses to deposit or withdraw without it.

The Other tab has Toggle Nearby ATM Blips, which works like /batm. The PIN tab lets you set, update, or remove your transaction PIN.

Physical ATM access

The Safe Online Banking requirement applies to remote deposits and withdrawals, not to physical ATM markers. For an ATM problem, use J > Support and identify the ATM.

Physical ATM alternative

At a physical ATM, stand in its marker and press N by default. You can deposit, withdraw, and use Deposit All Cash there without the course.
For remote access, use /bank, /atm, /mobileatm, or CITPhone > Mobile ATM. Remote deposits, withdrawals, and Deposit All Cash require Safe Online Banking from /courses.
To check or change the physical ATM key, open /sbinds or /settings > Binds and find ATM Access Key under Interaction Binds.

Cash carry limit

You can carry up to $90,000,000 in cash. If a payment would take your cash over $90,000,000, the whole payment goes to your bank account, not only the part over the limit. Smaller payments that still fit are paid as cash. Money from a Sell while offline F7 listing always goes to the bank.
