CITPhone is the in game phone system in CIT.

Useful CITPhone apps

CITPhone opens with B.

App or feature Use Notes
GPS Navigation and location search. Use it with /gps and the map.
Quick SMS Sends quick private messages. You can also use /re [message].
Mobile ATM Banking from the phone. Everyone can open it. Remote Deposit, Withdraw, and Deposit All Cash require Safe Online Banking.
Event Times Shows event timing information. It can show civilian triple XP, store robbery reset times, and the minutes left on a long term mute.
Radio Browse stations, search, favorite, stop playback, change volume, and use a custom stream address. If Group Radio cannot load stations, load them in CITPhone Radio first.
Web Browser Open supported websites in game. Some sites are restricted.
Account Security Account security tools. Also reachable from the X menu.

Phone Uses

CITPhone gives quick access to many game systems and apps.

It is used for navigation, economy, property tools, media, account tools, and small utility apps.

How to open it

To open CITPhone, press:

  • B

You can also bind it to another key with:

  • /bind <key> citphone

Navigation

GPS The GPS app opens the GPS Bookmarks panel.

There you can:

  • Browse destination categories
  • Search for a location
  • Double click a bookmark to mark it

You can also add your current location to:

Economy

Mobile ATM Everyone can open Mobile ATM through CITPhone. Remote Deposit, Withdraw, and Deposit All Cash require Safe Online Banking from /courses; the other tabs remain available without the course. Physical ATM markers allow full banking without the course.

Friends and Messaging

CITbook CITbook is the friend system.

From CITPhone, you can open CITbook to manage friends and friend requests.

Quick SMS The Quick SMS app can be used to send a quick private message.

You can also use:

  • /re [message]

CIT Messenger CIT Messenger is the full chat system.

It opens with:

  • F10
  • /messenger

CITPhone is also linked to the wider messaging and social tools in the server.

Event and Course Tools

Event Times Open Event Times in CITPhone to see upcoming events, the last winning lottery number, Solo Battle Royale timing, race and Armed Robbery timers, the next criminal event's time, team counts and last winner (including Van Heist when next), weekly bank send and receive limits, Daily Top and store-robbery resets, danger level and civilian triple XP.

You can also use:

Online Courses Open Online Courses from CITPhone to access server courses.

Property and Media

My Properties Open My Properties to see your owned CITy Zones together with your other properties.

Music Player You can open the Music Player from CITPhone.

It supports:

  • Playback speed
  • Shuffle
  • Next and previous song
  • Play and stop controls

Radio Radio is available as a CITPhone feature.

Web Browser The Web Browser app lets you use the internet without leaving the game.

Supported sites include allowed domains such as:

  • cit.gg
  • youtube.com

Mini Browser CITPhone has no Mini Browser app. Use Web Browser instead.

YouTube Open the YouTube app in CITPhone to watch YouTube in game.

CIT News CITPhone has no CIT News app. Use /magazine to open the last CIT News issue. The magazine is inactive and no new issues are published.

CIT's Instagram CITPhone has no CIT's Instagram app.

Utility Apps

Translator Use the Translator app to translate inside the game. It opens Google Translate in the in game web browser.

Weather Use the Weather app to change your in game weather.

Camera Use the Camera app to take a selfie.

Clock Use the Clock app for the stopwatch.

Notes App Notes is one of the CITPhone utility apps.

Mark Permissions

To manage who can mark you, use:

These commands manage your CITPhone mark whitelist.

Browser Notes

The in game browser works without leaving the game.

It is useful for checking:

Browser settings can be changed by:

  1. Pressing Esc
  2. Opening Settings
  3. Going to Web Browser settings

Phone Notes

  • B opens CITPhone.

Phone customization

Phone Settings controls the phone name, colors, icon colors, wallpapers, Quick Apps, account password, SMS sound, lock screen, lock/unlock sound, app-name display and 24-hour clock. Right-click the phone home screen or background to lock it.

Feature What it does
Lock Screen Can be enabled or disabled in the Phone Settings app.
Lock Type Lets players choose Swipe or Click to unlock the phone.
Wallpapers Controls Phone Wallpaper and Lock Screen images separately. Players can use two custom phone backgrounds.
Icon Colors Changes app icon colors.
App pages Hold and swipe left or right on the background to switch between the two pages, then drag apps to organize them.
Quick Apps Quick Apps accepts up to 5 apps. Drag to order them and press Update to save. An older setup with more than five remains until you change it.
App labels App names can appear below app icons and on hover.
Radio widget The Radio app can show the radio name and song name on the lock screen.

Opening and closing the phone

Press B to open CITPhone. Press B again, or click the text at the top of the phone, to close it. You can bind another key with /bind <key> citphone.

Audio Converter

Open CITPhone > Audio Converter, paste a YouTube, SoundCloud, or Spotify link, and press Convert to MP3. When processing finishes, use Copy Link or Send to Player. The progress bar can return to 0% when the next processing stage starts. Before you paste a link, the app says Paste a YouTube, SoundCloud or Spotify link to begin. When conversion finishes, chat says Your MP3 link is ready in CITphone's Audio Converter. and the app displays a song code. Failures begin with Audio conversion failed:.

Buy Lottery app

Open CITPhone and select the golden ticket Buy Lottery app. A ticket costs $500,000. Enter a number for the next daily draw. Winnings are paid to your cash on hand, and the prize depends on the draw.

Useful app controls

  • Clock shows the current time and full date, opens the stopwatch, and creates reminders using Days or another time unit. Double click a saved reminder to remove it.
  • Mark Players can search for a player, use a Blip ID from 1 to 63, mark the selected player, unmark that player, or unmark everyone.
  • Quick SMS accepts one or more player names separated by commas and sends the same message to them.
  • Buy Lottery uses numbers 1 to 50 for the daily 21:00 CE(S)T draw. See Lottery.
  • Slot Machine costs $3,000 per spin. See Slot Machine for its payout table.
  • Snake Master starts with an arrow key and shows Score:, Personal Best: and a top-five Highscores list.

CITPhone money transfers

CITPhone money transfers are disabled, and the old /amt command is no longer used. Send money through the bank with /bank, /atm, or /mobileatm instead.

Modifications and cinema playback

Open /mods for vehicle and weapon mod controls. To change a rented cinema's video, use /setvideoid <YouTube video ID> again with the ID after watch?v=. Use the ID, not the full URL. Cinema playback has no stop button or stop command.

Appearance and SMS settings

Use Phone Wallpapers under /settings > Interface > CITPHONE to add 2 custom wallpapers.

  • Use .png files in your MTA installation's mods/deathmatch/resources/CITphone/icons/ folder.
  • Enter their filenames separated by a comma, for example img1.png, img2.png.
  • The setting defaults to blank.

Open /settings > Interface > CITPHONE:

  • Phone Color changes the phone's color. Its default is 255 255 255.
  • Icon Tint changes the phone icons' tint. Its default, 255 255 255, means no tint.

Enter R G B, with each number from 0 to 255, or use Open Color Picker.

Open /settings and go to Audio > SOUNDS / MUSIC / AUDIO. SMS Sound Volume controls the sound played when you receive an SMS. It accepts 0 to 1: 0 gives no sound and 1 is the loudest value. The default is 0.4.

Open /settings > Interface > SMS.

  • SMS Output chooses who can send you CITPhone SMS: Everyone, Friends Only, or Completely Off. The default is Everyone.
  • With Friends Only, set SMS From Group Members, SMS From Squad Members, or SMS From Alliance Members to Yes to also allow that organization's members. Each defaults to Yes; No turns off that additional allowance.
  • Show in Chatbox and its AFK bell are options of the SMSs tab in J, not extra rows in /settings > Interface > SMS. SMS reply access has no setting.

SMS sound selection and volume

Open /settings:

  • Interface > SMS contains SMS Output and the group, squad and alliance SMS allowances.
  • General > FRIENDS contains CITbook friend login/logout notification.
  • Audio > SOUNDS / MUSIC / AUDIO > SMS Sound Volume controls SMS notification volume.

To choose the SMS sound itself, open CITPhone > Phone Settings > SMS Sound. Choose Sound 1, Sound 2, Sound 3, Sound 4 or Sound 5, preview with Test sound, then press Apply.

Who can mark you

Use CITPhone Mark by Anyone under /settings > Interface > CITPHONE.

  • Its options are Yes, No, No + nobody at all, and '/markwl' whitelist only; the default is Yes.
  • Yes lets anyone mark you.
  • No allows only CITbook friends, staff members, squad members and group members to mark you on their map with a blip.
  • No + nobody at all still allows staff; '/markwl' whitelist only allows only whitelisted accounts.
  • For the whitelist option, manage accounts using /markwl add <account>, /markwl remove <account>, and /markwl list.

CIT Store categories

CIT Store in CITPhone installs and uninstalls apps. Every app has a description and sits under a category, and the list scrolls past the categories shown on the first screen. There are 13 categories holding 30 apps:

CIT News magazine

/magazine opens the last released CIT News issue. CITPhone has no CIT News app. The magazine is inactive and no new issues are being published.

Radio station selection

The Radio app lists 150 stations, and that is the whole list. Each name has a bracketed category or language tag in front of it, such as [Pop], [Metal], [Turkish], or [All]. Only the five stations named CIT Radio belong to CIT: CIT Radio, CIT Radio - Electro & House, CIT Radio - Rap, CIT Radio - Arabic, and CIT Radio - Turkish. The app names them CIT Radio, not CIT2Radio. Every other station is an outside stream that CIT does not own.
