Police Dispatch

From CIT Wiki

Police Dispatch

Police Dispatch is the law alert message system in CIT. It is used to show dispatch messages about crimes and response messages from officers.

Overview

`Police Dispatch` shows:

  • dispatch messages about crimes
  • response messages when officers use /res

It is a message and notification system, not a normal chat channel like `Emergency Chat`.

How it works

The dispatch system has two main message types.

Dispatch calls

Dispatch calls are:

  • messages about crimes

These are controlled by the setting:

  • `Show Police Dispatch Calls`

Dispatch response messages

Dispatch response messages are:

  • messages shown when officers use /res

These are controlled by the setting:

  • `Show Police Dispatch Response Messages`

How to view Police Dispatch

Police Dispatch messages appear in the chat system.

If you are missing them:

  • press J
  • open the correct chat tab
  • make sure `Show in chatbox` is enabled

Settings

Police Dispatch settings are found in:

  • /settings

The listed Police Dispatch settings are:

Setting What it does
Show Police Dispatch Calls Shows or hides dispatch messages about crimes
Show Police Dispatch Response Messages Shows or hides messages when officers use /res

Related command

Command Use
/res Sends a Police Dispatch response message

Notes

  • `Police Dispatch` is a message system for law-related alerts and responses.
  • The KB here supports the dispatch settings and the link to /res, but it does not list extra dispatch commands, extra response formats, or a separate Police Dispatch panel.
  • If Police Dispatch messages do not appear, check the correct chat tab in J and make sure `Show in chatbox` is enabled.
