Protected Areas in CIT

A Protected Area, also known as a Safe Zone or Safe Area, is a designated region where players do not take damage. These areas are strategically placed across the map to provide a safe environment for certain activities. Players within these areas are shielded from harm, preventing hostile actions like attacks or damage from environmental hazards.

Key Features of Protected Areas:

  • No Damage Zone: Players inside these areas do not take damage.
  • Wanted Criminals: Wanted criminals can only jog within these protected zones, allowing law enforcement (cops) to easily catch and arrest them. Cops can also use their tazers inside the protected areas.
  • Vulnerability After Damage: If you've been damaged outside of a protected zone and then enter, you will remain vulnerable for a few seconds to prevent players from abusing the system by hiding in protected zones.

Known Protected Areas:

  • Hospitals: Most hospitals have protected areas around them to prevent spawn killing after respawn. For example, the mall next to the hospital in LS.
  • LSPD Yard: The yard of the Los Santos Police Department (LSPD) is a protected area, ensuring that cops can plan and operate without constant criminal interference.
  • Jefferson Motel: The ground parking area in front of Jefferson Motel is a protected area.
  • Criminal Villa & Prison Release Points: The spawn points at Criminal Villa, West Prison Release, and East Prison Release are protected to prevent gangsters from spawn killing each other.
  • LV Airport: The LV Airport features a protected area for rapid transportation and duels, as well as for fuel, repair, and plane shop markers.
  • DM Area: The spawn point at DM Area is a protected zone.
  • Market Areas: The Market Areas in LS (Mall next to Hospital), SF (hospitals), and LV (hospital) are protected.
  • Car Show Areas: The Carshow Areas in SF (CITy Island) and LS (near LSAP) are protected zones for players during events.
  • Criminal Events (CE) Entrance: The entrance to Criminal Events (CE) is a protected area, safeguarding players from attacks as they enter.
