Bank

Bank is the money storage system in CIT. It is where players store money safely instead of carrying it on hand.

Overview

The bank is used for:

storing money safely
depositing money
withdrawing money
transferring money to other players
checking your balance

The bank has:

no storage limit

Your cash on hand does have a limit.

Storing money

The bank is the safe place to store your money.

Important points:

the bank stores money safely with no limit
you can only carry up to $90,000,000 on hand
money kept in the bank stays safe if you die or get arrested
money carried on hand can be lost in those situations

Because of that, larger amounts should be kept in the bank instead of on hand.

How to open the bank

You can open the bank by:

using /atm
standing in any ATM marker

To find the nearest ATM, use:

/batm

ATM GUI

The ATM GUI shows:

your balance
Deposit
Withdraw
Transfer
Show Players

This is the main bank panel used for normal banking actions.

What you can do in the bank

The bank system lets you:

deposit money
withdraw money
transfer money
check your balance
use PIN-protected withdrawals

Checking your balance

To check your bank balance, use:

/bankbalance
the ATM GUI

Depositing money

To deposit money:

open the ATM GUI with /atm or an ATM marker
use the deposit option
enter the amount you want to store

Depositing moves money from your hand into the bank.

Withdrawing money

To withdraw money:

open the ATM GUI with /atm or an ATM marker
use the withdraw option
enter the amount you want to take out

Withdrawals can be protected with a PIN code.

Money transfers

The bank can also transfer money to other players.

To send money to another player:

open the ATM or Mobile ATM GUI
enter the amount
use Show Players to choose an online player
or type the player's account name in the account box
press Transfer

You can also transfer money to:

offline players, by typing their account name directly

Transfer limits

Bank transfers use weekly limits.

Weekly receive limits

Why transfers may not work

A transfer may fail if:

you reached your weekly send limit
you do not have enough money
you have transfer restrictions from rule violations

Players may also be unable to receive money if:

they reached their weekly receive limit
they have transfer restrictions from rule violations

Mobile ATM

The bank can also be used through `Mobile ATM`.

To unlock it:

complete the Safe Online Banking course in /courses

After unlocking it, you can use:

CITPhone > Mobile ATM
/mobileatm

`Mobile ATM` can be used for the same banking functions such as:

checking balance
transferring money
other ATM actions

PIN code

A PIN code protects bank withdrawals.

To set or change your PIN, use:

/setpin

The PIN system is used to add extra protection when withdrawing money from the bank.

Protecting your money

To protect your money:

bank money often
set a PIN
do not walk around with the $90,000,000 carry limit on hand

Notes

The bank has no storage limit.
Hand cash is limited to $90,000,000.
Banked money stays safe if you die or get arrested.
ATM markers and /atm both open the same banking system.
`Mobile ATM` must be unlocked first.
