Bomb Disposal

Bomb Disposal is a specialist police job inside the LSPD interior in Los Santos. It focuses on clearing enemies and defusing bombs.

How to start

Bomb Disposal is a law job inside the LSPD interior in Los Santos.

Requirements and access:

• unlocks at 300 arrests
• at 100,000 Arrest Points, use /go Bomb Disposal
• take the blue Bomb Disposal marker next to the bomb suit ped

What to do

1. press N to mark the bomb route
2. go to the skull blip
3. clear the nearby criminals
4. solve the bomb puzzle before time runs out

You must kill the nearby criminals before defusing the bomb.

Puzzle and safety notes

• Change the white connecting pieces to join matching colored blocks before the timer runs out. A completed connection clears.
• Left click can place a horizontal piece; right click can place a vertical piece. Keep clicking to change the piece shape or orientation and connect its neighbors. Right click goes back a block in the cycle.
• The puzzle GUI warns you to run when the timer is almost out.
• If you close the GUI because you get attacked, you can go back to the bomb and continue from where you left off.
• The window has only a Close button. If you close it because you are attacked, return to the bomb to resume where you stopped.
• While the GUI is open, you only take 5% damage.

Bomb Disposal gives law points, also called arrest points, when missions are completed.

To start the job, use the blue Bomb Disposal marker next to the bomb suit ped inside LSPD.

Mission Flow

1. Take the Bomb Disposal job.
2. Press N to mark the bomb route.
3. Go to the skull blip.
4. Kill the nearby criminals.
5. Solve the bomb puzzle before time runs out.

You must clear nearby criminals before you can defuse the bomb.

If you close the Bomb Disposal GUI because you get attacked, you can go back to the bomb and continue from where you left off.

Bomb Puzzle

Join matching colored blocks by changing the white connecting pieces before the timer runs out. Completed connections clear. Left click can place a horizontal piece, and right click can place a vertical piece. Keep clicking to change the shape or orientation and connect neighboring blocks. Right click goes back a block in the cycle.

The mission was made easier for color blind players.

While the Bomb Disposal GUI is open, you only take 5% damage.

If you fail to defuse the bomb in time, the bomb explodes and the mission fails.

Cops can recover S.W.A.T. from any location without VIP for Bomb Disposal. Cops near a police station can also recover S.W.A.T..

The Bomb Disposal puzzle GUI warns you to run when the timer is almost out.

VIP adds 20% to the Explosives amount. Hourly Double Earnings doubles the Explosives amount. While the puzzle GUI is open, the player takes only 5% damage.

Current job details

Bomb Disposal keeps the regular powers of a Police Officer. Completed missions give Law or Arrest Points and Explosives. Explosives can be traded through F7 or used in F9 to craft ammunition. VIP adds 20% to the Explosives reward, and hourly Double Earnings doubles it.

Use /stats to see how many bombs you have defused. The F5 Police Computer shows your Bomb Disposal level.

Bomb Disposal skin IDs are 1009, 1115, 1120, 1121, and 1122.

The LSPD ped mission Can you defuse a bomb? pays $15,000 worth of Explosives using Average in F7 > Sell. The quantity varies with that value. This is not cash and is separate from the normal Bomb Disposal job rewards above. See Ped Missions.
