LS Turfs

LS Turfs are the Los Santos turf system for the gangster side in CIT.

LS turf facts

Los Santos has 39 turfs. Several are drug turfs. LS turfs reset once every 168 hours, which is 7 days.

In LS, turfing uses graffiti and influence control. Grenades and RPGs cannot be used there.

Map and attack details

Zooming on F11 can show turf clusters instead of single turfs to reduce clutter. Cluster text is only visible to gangsters.

An LS turf is under attack when it goes under 50%. Gangsters in LS are removed for being AFK after 20 minutes.

Turf details

LS Turfs are part of gangster gameplay in Los Santos.

They are group based and are used for turf wars, payouts, and control.

Los Santos has 39 turfs.

Several of them are drug turfs.

LS Turfs reset every 7 days.

How LS Turfs Work

To take part in LS turfing:

Be on gangster side.

Be in a group.

Enter the turf zone.

Stay inside it to build control.

LS turfing uses:

Graffiti

Turfs belong to groups, not solo players.

Up to 4 players from the same group count for standing progress.

If you get killed, your group's control goes down.

Defending or re entering the turf stops the other group from taking it.

Requirements

To turf in LS, you need:

Gangster side
A group

You can switch to gangster with:

/gangster

Rewards

Holding LS Turfs gives your group rewards.

These can include:

Passive income
Reputation or XP
Drugs
Oil
Other resources instead of normal cash

A defended turf gives your group reputation.

Holding it also keeps its passive payout.

LS turf pay can also be directed to the group bank.

An LS cash turf gives RP equal to floor(pre-split cash / 200).

Map and Turf Info

Use F11 to check turfs on the map.

In LS, you may need to zoom in more to see turf clusters clearly.

The turf cluster map can show clusters instead of single turfs to reduce clutter.

Cluster text is only visible to gangsters.

When reading turf info on F11, the owner label also shows whether a turf pays drugs or resources.

Use /lasttakeover to see who made the last LS and LV takeover and when it happened.

Use /turfcolor R G B to change your turf color.

Use /groupchatcolor R G B to change your group chat color.

Restrictions and limits

LS Turfs are gangster only.
You must be in a gang or group to take LS Turfs properly.
Criminals cannot capture or defend LS Turfs.
LS turfing uses graffiti and influence control.
LS has 39 turfs.
LS Turfs reset every 7 days.
You cannot place barriers in LS Turfs.

Current LS control progress

Standing in an LS turf adds 2 control progress every 30 seconds. Up to 4 players from the same group can contribute. If more than 6 players from the same group are inside, that group makes no control progress until a player leaves the area.

Spraying graffiti adds a random 1 to 5 progress.
Killing a player without a group adds 2 progress.
Killing a player who belongs to a group adds 3 progress.
Being killed removes 5 progress from your group.

Buy a spray can from a shop and use /graffiti to choose a spray.

Los Santos currently has 39 turfs.

Current LS limits and payment

Turfing is disabled inside vehicles and above 85 meters above sea level.
Killing a groupmate or alliance member removes 5 control, with a minimum of 0.
Spraying over an online player's graffiti adds 1 extra control.
AR and CE participants do not affect turf control.
/afk cannot be used inside a turf, and Gangsters in LS are removed after 20 minutes AFK.
/kill takes 15 seconds after recent LS turfing.
Alliances can capture LS turfs.
LS turf earnings are paid every 5 minutes.
Use /turfcolorls R G B to change the group's LS turf color.

The group bank receives 50% from a member in the lowest group rank, 10% when the group has a level, and 0% when it has no level. A group with nobody online loses LS turf percentage 3x faster.

Turf payment eligibility

Holding turfs gives your group passive income, reputation or XP, and some turfs pay drugs, oil, iron, or other resources instead of normal cash.

You must stay in the city where your group has turfs to receive its turf payments.
LS Gangsters can receive turf payments while in a vehicle.
In LV, being considered AFK reduces your turf payment to half.
Payment depends on turfs owned and active group members. LS turf pay can also go to the group bank.

LS takeover reward

A group that captures all of LS receives $2,000,000 in its group bank. LS Takeovers lists groups and capture timestamps in UTC, newest first.
