Barriers

Barriers are placeable objects used by certain duties, groups, and players in CIT.

Overview

Barriers can be placed if you have barrier access.

They are used as a utility tool in law, criminal, and group gameplay.

Barrier access depends on your duty, group type, or donator access.

How To Use Barriers

If you have barrier access:

  1. Use /barriers to see the barrier IDs you can place.
  1. Use /barrier [ID] to place one.
  1. Use /removebarrier [ID] to remove one barrier you placed.
  1. Use /removebarrier all to remove all barriers you placed.

Commands

Barrier commands are:

  • /barriers
  • /barrier [ID]
  • /removebarrier [ID]
  • /removebarrier all

Barrier Limit

You can place up to 5 barriers total.

Who Can Use Barriers

/barrier can be used by:

Barrier Access by Type

Barrier access depends on who is placing them.

Official criminal groups

Official criminal groups can use:

  • 1
  • 5
  • 6
  • 7
  • 8

Official or semi-official law groups

Official or semi-official law groups can use:

  • 1 to 11

Donator Level 3 cops

Donator Level 3 cops can use:

  • 1
  • 6
  • 9
  • 10
  • 11

Donator Level 3 criminals

Donator Level 3 criminals can use:

  • 5 to 11

Special Barrier Rules

There are some extra barrier rules for specific duties and situations.

Removing barriers with Num_3

In gangster play, these roles can remove barriers with Num_3 and a click:

  • Staff
  • PCs
  • SOs
  • CBs

Barriers inside CEs

Police Chiefs and Criminal Bosses can place barriers inside CEs.

Restrictions

Barrier use has important restrictions.

Restrictions include:

  • You cannot place barriers in LS turfs
  • You need at least 500 hours to use barriers in gangster play
  • Placing a barrier to block access or give a highly unfair advantage is punishable

An example of unfair use is placing a barrier at the side of an entrance to block access.

Important Notes

  • Use /barriers first to check which IDs you can use.
  • Barrier access is not the same for every player or group.
  • You can only have 5 placed barriers at one time.
  • LS turfing has extra barrier restrictions.
  • Barrier abuse is punishable if it blocks access or gives a highly unfair advantage.
