Fuel System
Fuel System is the vehicle fuel system in CIT.
It controls how vehicles are refuelled and how players restore fuel when driving normally or after a vehicle runs out of fuel.

How to refuel a vehicle
There are 2 main ways to refuel a vehicle in CIT:
- at a

Gas Stations
Gas Stations are the normal fuel refill locations in CIT.
They are used for:
- refuelling vehicles
- restoring fuel without using a
Jerry Can
How to refuel at a gas station
To refuel your vehicle at a gas station:
- drive into the fuel marker at the station
- hold
Space Barwhile the fuel increases
When done correctly:
- your vehicle refuels there
Fuel marker
The fuel marker at a gas station is:
- a transparent circular marker
Map icon
On the map and minimap, gas stations use:
- the

Jerry Can
A Jerry Can is the backup fuel item used when a vehicle runs out of fuel.
When it is used
A Jerry Can is mainly used when:
- your vehicle is out of fuel

- get out of the vehicle

A full fuel tank
A Jerry Can is not consumed when the tank is already full. Use X > Refuel Vehicle; the message reports the amount actually added.
Pump target and price
At a fuel pump, choose the target fuel percentage. The price accounts for tank upgrades and fuel membership. If the tank is already full, the pump reports it instead of adding fuel.
Fuel target and course bonus
The pump displays the target fuel percentage and price before refuelling. Basic Fuel Skills in /courses fills an extra 20% for free, so its fuel target is 120%. Free refuelling membership also affects the displayed price. A full tank shows The fuel tank is already full.
