Translator
Translator is a language duty in CIT. Translators work on in-game texts, commands, and strings for supported languages.
Overview
A Translator is responsible for:
- translating in-game texts
- translating commands
- translating strings into other languages
This duty is focused on CIT text localization.
What Translators do
Translators work on the language content used in CIT.
Their work includes:
- in-game texts
- command text
- translation strings
This is done through the in-game translation system after they are accepted.
Requirements
To become a Translator, you need:
- an active forum account
You must also:
- apply on the `Translators` board
- use the required format
- follow the translation rules
How to apply
To apply for the Translator duty:
- make sure you have an active forum account
- go to the `Translators` board
- use the required application format from the sticky topics
Translator board:

Translation rules
Translators must follow specific rules.
Main rules include:
- stay active
- do not use automatic translation tools
- follow the required formatting rules
- follow the required quality rules
Automatic translation tools
Automatic translation tools are not allowed for:
- Translator applications
- Translator work
This includes tools such as:
- Google Translate
How to start translating
After you are accepted as a Translator:
- use
/translate - open the translation GUI
- double click your language
- start translating strings
Translation access
Translation access is managed through the translation system.
Related roles include:
- `TPM`
- `DM`
`TPM` means `Translation Progress Manager`.
`TPM` is responsible for:
- monitoring translation progress
- deciding who should get translation access
`DM` means `Duties Manager`.
`DM` can assign duties such as:
- `Translator`
