Translator

A Translator in CIT is a player responsible for translating various texts, commands, and strings into different languages. Translators help make the game accessible to players who speak different languages. Becoming a Translator requires active participation, accuracy, and dedication.


How to Become a Translator

To become a Translator in CIT, you need to follow these steps:

  1. Have a Forum Account: You must have an active forum account.
  2. Submit an Application: Apply on the Translators board to join the team.
    • The application format is provided in the sticky topics of the board. Make sure to read the guidelines carefully before applying.
    • Important: Google Translate is not allowed for your application or for translations once you’re accepted. Using it may result in a punishment.

What Happens If You Get Accepted?

If your application is accepted, you’ll be granted access to the translation tools in the game. Here's what you need to do:

  1. Access /translate Command: Use the /translate command in-game to access the translation GUI.
  2. Select Your Language: Double-click on your chosen language to start translating the text strings.
  3. Complete Translations: Each new translation you complete will earn you $200 per character (including spaces and punctuation). Make sure to keep the translations high-quality and accurate.

Important Rules for Translators

  • Activity: To remain in the Translators team, you must stay active. If you become inactive, you may be removed from the team.
  • Quality of Translations: Ensure that all translations are of high quality. Google Translate or other automatic translation tools are not allowed, and using them can lead to punishment.
  • Respect for Guidelines: Always follow the guidelines and formatting provided in the sticky topics on the Translators board.
