Discord

Discord in CIT is used for two main things:

  • joining the official CIT Discord server
  • linking group or squad chats to a Discord server

It also includes tools for replying to linked Discord messages in game, unlinking chat syncs, and unlinking your Discord account from CIT.

Overview

CIT supports Discord integration for:

  • the official CIT Discord invite
  • group chat to Discord linking
  • squad chat to Discord linking
  • staff chat linking
  • replying to Discord messages from inside the game
  • checking linked-chat status
  • auto-deleting old linked Discord messages
  • unlinking your Discord account from CIT

Official CIT Discord

To open the official CIT Discord join panel and get the invite link, use:

/discord

Linked Discord chats

Group and squad chats can be linked to a Discord server so messages from the in-game chat appear in a linked Discord channel.

After linking:

  • in-game messages appear in the linked Discord channel
  • you can use .online on Discord to check who is online

Group chat linking

To start linking your group chat to Discord, use:

/gdiscordcode

This gives you the code and instructions.

The group chat linking flow is:

  1. use /gdiscordcode in game
  2. invite the CIT bot to your Discord server
  3. use .link in the correct Discord channel

Useful related commands:

  • /gsyncinfo to check the sync
  • /gforceunlink to unlink in game
  • /grefresh if unlinking does not work

You can also use:

  • .unlink on Discord

Squad chat linking

To start linking your squad chat to Discord, use:

/sdiscordcode

This gives you the code and instructions.

The squad chat linking flow is:

  1. use /sdiscordcode in game
  2. invite the CIT bot to your Discord server
  3. use the provided command in the correct Discord channel

Useful related commands:

  • /sforceunlink to unlink in game
  • /srefresh if needed

You can also use:

  • .unlink on Discord

Staff chat linking

Staff chats can also be linked to Discord.

For Group Staff Chat, use:

/gdiscordcode gsc

For Squad Staff Chat, use:

/sdiscordcode ssc

For Group Staff Chat, the Discord link command is:

.linkgsc

not:

.link

Requirements

To link chats:

  • you must be at least level 5 in your group or squad
  • the Discord bot must have the required permissions to manage channels and send messages

On Discord:

  • .link and .unlink need Administrator permission

In game:

  • /gforceunlink
  • /sforceunlink
  • /grefresh
  • /srefresh

require permission to delete the group or squad.

Checking sync status

To check the current group Discord sync, use:

/gsyncinfo

Auto-delete linked Discord messages

To set auto-delete time for old linked Discord messages, use:

/gsetdeltime <hours>

To check the current setting, use:

  • /gsyncinfo
  • .deltime

Replying to Discord messages in game

To reply to Discord messages from inside the game, use:

/discordre <message>

Unlinking your Discord account from CIT

To unlink your Discord account from CIT, use:

/dunverify

This is separate from unlinking a group or squad chat sync.
