CIT fix
Low FPS on CIT
Turn off the effects below one at a time. Read your FPS in the same place before and after each change.
Steps
Stand in one place and read your FPS
Your FPS is at the top right, beside Food and Ping. Read it in the same place before and after each change.
Turn off Bullet Holes
Only if Bullet Holes is enabled.
Find Bullet Holes in /settings, note its old value and turn it off for one test. Look at the same scene again. Put the old value back if it does not help.
Set Ambient Occlusion to Off
Only if Ambient Occlusion is enabled.
Note the old value of Ambient Occlusion and set it to Off for the next test. Put the old value back if the result is worse or the same.
Turn off one custom content option
Only if the option you pick is enabled.
To compare one more thing, turn off one of these in /settings: Custom Player Skins, Custom Vehicle Skins or Custom Clothing. Look at the same scene again. If it makes no difference, turn it back on before you test another one.
No setting promises a fixed FPS gain. The custom texture options apply to other players. Your own textures stay visible.
