Crosshairs

From CIT Wiki

Crosshairs

Crosshairs are the aiming and hit-marker customization system in CIT.

They let you:

  • change your weapon crosshair
  • change your sniper crosshair
  • use custom crosshairs for each weapon
  • control hit-mark behavior
  • show your crosshair even when not aiming

Overview

You can manage crosshairs with:

  • /crosshairs
  • the `Crosshairs` app in `CITPhone`

The crosshair system covers both:

  • normal weapon crosshairs
  • sniper crosshairs

How To Open Crosshairs

To open the crosshair panel:

  • use /crosshairs
  • or open the `Crosshairs` app in `CITPhone`

Custom Weapon Crosshairs

To use custom weapon crosshairs:

  1. open /crosshairs
  2. click `Use custom crosshairs`

You can also enable them from settings:

  • open /settings
  • search `Set custom weapon crosshair`
  • set it to `Player custom`

Sniper Crosshair

The `Set custom sniper crosshair` setting gives:

  • `26` sniper crosshair options
  • `Off`

Hit Mark On Crosshair

The `Hit mark on crosshair` setting supports:

  • `All weapons`
  • `Handguns`
  • `Shotguns`
  • `Sub-Machine Guns`
  • `Assault Rifles`
  • `Rifles`
  • `Heavy Weapons`
  • `Off`

Show Crosshair When Not Aiming

`Show crosshair when not aiming` is a setting that shows your crosshair even while you are not aiming.

Important note:

  • it only works after you choose a custom crosshair in /crosshairs

Crosshair History

The documented crosshair-related updates include:

  • a GUI was added to preview and select weapon and sniper crosshairs with /crosshairs
  • the ability to change crosshair image for each weapon was added
  • `10` new crosshair images were added
  • `9` more crosshairs were added later
  • `Show crosshair when not aiming` was added to /settings
  • a bug causing `2` crosshairs at once was later fixed

Notes

  • `Crosshairs` can be opened from both `CITPhone` and /crosshairs
  • the system supports separate weapon and sniper customization
  • `Set custom weapon crosshair` must be `Player custom` if you want your own custom weapon crosshairs
  • `Show crosshair when not aiming` depends on having a custom crosshair selected first
