Gang Intervention Unit

Gang Intervention Unit, also called GIU, is a specialist police job inside LSPD. It focuses on LS turf conflicts instead of normal wanted suspect work.

What GIU is

Gang Intervention Unit is a specialized LSPD role focused on controlling gang activity and LS turf conflicts.

GIU officers can claim LS turfs like gangsters, but the turf is owned by Government. GIU officers can also use a spray can the same way as LS gangsters.

Access

The GIU job location is inside LSPD.
If you already have law /go access, use /go giu.
GIU skin IDs are 285, 1042, 287, 1014, 1115, 1120, 1121, and 1122.

Restrictions

GIU officers cannot arrest or interact with wanted suspects.
GIU officers cannot tase unwanted gangsters.
GIU officers cannot use jetpacks while in the GIU job.
The AR and riot rules about gangsters not hurting each other also apply to unwanted gangsters and GIU.

Rewards and display

GIU receives reduced police payments.
Turf rewards are shared across all active GIU officers on duty.
Unwanted gangsters do not get RP for killing GIU.
GIU and gangsters can damage each other's vehicles.
Gang Intervention Unit shows separately on the scoreboard.
GIU chat messages use a darker blue.

Turf Role

GIU officers fight in LS turfs and claim LS turfs for Government.
