Gang Intervention Unit, also known as GIU, is a specialized police job in CIT. It is based inside `LSPD` and is focused on gang intervention and `LS` turf conflicts.
Overview
`GIU` is a police service job for turf control in `Los Santos`.
Its role is:
- gang intervention
- fighting in `LS` turf conflicts
- capturing `LS` turfs under `Government`
`GIU` officers stay in the police service while doing this job.

The `Gang Intervention Unit` job is located:

It is one of the jobs that can be taken inside `LSPD`.
How it works
`GIU` is focused on `LS` turf control.
`GIU` officers:
- fight in `LS` turfs
- claim `LS` turfs like gangsters
- capture turfs under `Government`
This makes `GIU` different from normal police jobs that focus on wanted suspects, arrests, and standard law work.
Turfing
`GIU` uses the turf system in `Los Santos`.

Spray can use
`GIU` officers can use:
- a spray can the same way as `LS` gangsters
This is part of the turf-claiming role of the job.
Restrictions
`GIU` has several restrictions.
`GIU` officers:
- cannot arrest wanted suspects
- cannot interact with wanted suspects
- cannot use jetpacks while in the `GIU` job
Their focus is only:
- gang intervention
- turf control
Rewards
`GIU` uses a different reward setup from normal police work.
Reward rules:
- `GIU` receives reduced police payments
- turf rewards are shared across all active `GIU` officers on duty
`GIU` turf rewards are also listed as one of the police income sources when officers are on duty in `Gang Intervention Unit`.
