Vehicle Recovery Point

From CIT Wiki

Vehicle Recovery Point

Vehicle Recovery Point is the ground vehicle recovery marker in CIT. It is the round red and yellow point that players can stand on to recover vehicles there.

Overview

A `Vehicle Recovery Point` is used when:

  • you recover a vehicle without `VIP`
  • your vehicle cannot be brought directly to your location
  • you go to a recovery marker and spawn the vehicle there

This page is about normal ground vehicle recovery points.

It does not cover:

  • aircraft recovery points
  • plane recovery points

How vehicle recovery works

To recover a vehicle normally:

  • open F2
  • or use /vehicles
  • select the vehicle
  • click `Recover`

You can also use:

/recover

This recovers the vehicle currently selected in `F2`.

When a vehicle goes to a recovery point

Your vehicle goes to a `Vehicle Recovery Point` instead of spawning near you if:

  • you do not have `VIP` Hours
  • you are wanted
  • your `VIP` Hours ended
  • you took damage recently

Without `VIP`, recovery goes to:

  • the recovery point
  • or the nearest allowed spawner instead

How to use a Vehicle Recovery Point

To use a `Vehicle Recovery Point`:

  • stand on the recovery point marker
  • recover the vehicle there

The listed hospital recovery points work like this.

Examples:

  • stand on the recovery point at `Santa Flora Hospital` and you can recover any vehicle there without `VIP`
  • stand on the recovery point at `All Saints Hospital` and you can recover any vehicle there without `VIP`
  • stand on the recovery point at `Jefferson Hospital` and you can recover any vehicle there without `VIP`
  • stand on the recovery point at `LV Hospital` and you can recover any vehicle there without `VIP`

Commands

Command or key Use
F2 Open the Vehicle Manager and recover a selected vehicle
/vehicles Open the Vehicle Manager
/recover Recover the vehicle currently selected in `F2`

`LS Recovery Point` `Mulholland Intersection`
`SF Recovery Point` `Esplanade North`
`LV Recovery Point` `Redsands West`
`Angel Pine Recovery Point` `Angel Pine`

Hospital recovery points

Several hospitals also include a recovery point.

Hospital Area Recovery note
`Santa Flora Hospital` `Santa Flora` Stand on the recovery point and recover any vehicle there without `VIP`
`All Saints Hospital` `Market` Stand on the recovery point and recover any vehicle there without `VIP`
`Jefferson Hospital` `Jefferson` Stand on the recovery point and recover any vehicle there without `VIP`
`LV Hospital` `Las Venturas Airport` Stand on the recovery point and recover any vehicle there without `VIP`

Difference from aircraft recovery points

A normal `Vehicle Recovery Point` is for ground vehicles.

Aircraft recovery is handled separately through:

  • aircraft recovery points
  • plane recovery points

Example:

  • the plane recovery point at `LV Hospital` is for aircraft and helicopters, including vehicles like the `Hydra`

Notes

  • `Vehicle Recovery Point` is the normal place where recovered ground vehicles are sent when they cannot be brought to you.
  • `VIP` recovery can bring a vehicle to your location, except when you are wanted.
  • If you are wanted, recently damaged, or no longer have `VIP` Hours, the vehicle goes to the recovery point instead.
  • Hospital recovery points let you recover any vehicle there without `VIP`.
