Car Show

Car Show is a player hosted vehicle event in the rented LS car show area where players show vehicles and compete for prizes.

How to rent the Car Show area

Renting the car show area costs $100,000 for 2 hours.

After renting the car show area, press N to open the CITcarShow Management Panel.

Event use

Car Show is used for hosting vehicle showcases and prize competitions.

A host rents the LS car show area, manages the event from the Car Show panel, and can promote the event so players come and join.

How to host a Car Show

To host a Car Show:

Use /gps > LS car show area.
Drive to the LS car show area.
Rent the area for 2 hours.
Manage the event from the Car Show panel.

Rental Cost

The LS Car Show area costs:

$100,000 for 2 hours

The rent button reads Rent $100,000/2 hours. The panel's body line says 1 hour, but you get 2 hours. If the rental ends early, you get back the part of the $100,000 for the time you did not use.

Car Show Tools

After renting the area, the host can manage the event through the Car Show GUI.

The Car Show GUI lets the host:

Set a prize
Kick players
Ban players
Play music
Open the entrance
Close the entrance

Prize

The host can use the Car Show GUI to:

Set the prize
Send the prize

The prize must be sent before the rental time ends.

Promotion

You can promote a Car Show in:

/main
Trading Chat
/superadvert

You can also:

Message staff
Use /online cem for a note

After renting the area, you can press:

N

Car Show Note

The Car Show Note is used for Car Show announcements after you rent the area. Players who do not want to see Car Show notes can switch them off with the setting that disables super adverts.

Rules for using the Car Show Note:

Use it only for Car Show announcements
Use English only
It uses the same setting as /superadvert. The first Car Show note is free. Later notes are charged for each player who receives them.

Cooldown limits are:

DL3 players have a 3 minute limit
Everyone else has 15 minutes

If you recently used /superadvert, the same limits still apply.

Misusing the Car Show Note can get you muted.

Event Rules

Car Show is a player hosted vehicle event.
It takes place in the rented LS car show area.
Use /gps > LS car show area to find it.
Renting the area lasts 2 hours.
Renting the area costs $100,000 for 2 hours.
The host manages the event through the Car Show panel.
The host can set prizes, kick or ban players, play music, and open or close the entrance.
You can promote the event through /main, Trading Chat, /superadvert, or the Car Show Note.
Entry fees are not allowed.
Scamming in a Car Show can lead to punishment or a ban.

Do not rent the car show area only to keep it occupied without hosting an actual car show. That is punishable as Disruptive Behaviour. The rent window warns that owning the car show area does not let you break the server's rules or stream illegal or disturbing content.

Rental timeout and vehicle limits

If the host stays outside the Car Show area for 5 minutes, the rental is cancelled.

The first Car Show note is free. Later notes are charged for each player who receives them. The note uses the same setting as /superadvert. Picking an F2 vehicle inside the rented area places the vehicle outside, so drive it in. Vehicle recovery is disabled inside the LS Car Show area.

Management panel key

After renting the car show area, press N by default to open the CITcarShow Management Panel. To check or change this key, find Car Show Admin Key under Job / Activity Binds in /sbinds or /settings > Binds.

A white text bar says Press 'N' to open owner's panel. If you press the key while you are not inside the car show, you get the red message You must be inside carshow to use this feature.

Car Show music

The Car Show can show the red message You have disabled streaming songs. To enable again do '/settings' and search 'speakers'. Open /settings, search speakers and set Disable Music Speakers to No to hear the music again.
