Police Officer

As a Police Officer in CIT, your primary responsibility is to enforce the law by arresting wanted criminals, managing law enforcement tasks, and protecting the citizens of San Andreas. This guide will explain how to become a Police Officer, what you can do in this role, and the associated systems like tracking wanted players, arresting criminals, and using police vehicles.

How to Become a Police Officer

Location: To become a Police Officer, head to one of the following places:

  • LSPD (Los Santos Police Department)
  • SFPD (San Fierro Police Department)
  • Law Farm (Located north of Los Santos)

  • How to Start:
    1. Visit any of the police departments listed above and touch the blue marker inside the station to take the job.
    2. If you already have a job, you will need to quit before entering the department. You can do this by pressing X, clicking Yourself, and selecting Quit Job.
    3. Alternatively, if you have 100,000 law points, you can use the command /go police officer to directly join as a Police Officer.

What Can I Do as a Police Officer?

  • Arresting Criminals:
    • Use your nightstick to arrest wanted criminals or simply kill them if they've committed a violent crime.
    • If a criminal is running away and you are having difficulty arresting them, use a taser (silenced pistol) to slow them down for 3 seconds, which makes it easier to catch and arrest them.
  • Marking Wanted Players:
    • To mark wanted players, open your police computer by pressing F5, then click on Pin All.
    • You can filter the list by city or wanted level by selecting the appropriate values in the panel. Note: Wanted players with less than 50 law points or less than 15 hours of playtime will not be visible on the police computer.
  • After Arresting a Criminal:
    • Once you've successfully arrested a criminal, take them to the nearest police station. You will see a label above the arrested player that says [Arrested by <Your Name>].

Police Vehicle Recovery

  • Can Police Officers Recover Vehicles?
    • Yes, Police Officers can recover their vehicles to their position, and VIP status is not required.
    • The vehicle recovery only applies to Police cars.
    • Note: If you recover a vehicle while having another player arrested, you must wait 10 seconds before your vehicle will appear.
  • Police Vehicle Usage:
    • Police cars can only be used while employed as a Police Officer. If you are not employed as a Police Officer, you cannot use police vehicles.
  • Megaphone Feature:
    • Police Officers can use the megaphone feature with the /mp <text> command while inside a police vehicle.

Kill Arresting Criminals

  • When Can You Kill Arrest Someone?
    • If a criminal has committed any violent crime in the last 60 seconds, you can kill arrest them.
    • If the criminal has not committed a violent crime, you can still kill them but cannot arrest them.
    • Note: You will earn law points and money for kill arrests.

Wanted Levels and Tracking

  • How to Check a Player's Wanted Level:
  1. /stats panel: This shows detailed information about a player's wanted level.
  2. Police computer (F5): Allows you to see all wanted players.
  3. White Stars: If a player has stars above their head, they are wanted.

Police Levels

As you progress through the Police Officer job and gain law points, you will unlock various features, vehicles, and bonuses. Below is a list of rewards you can achieve at different levels:

  • Level 2: Unlocked the Traffic Officer job.
  • Level 3: Unlocked the Police Detective job.
  • Level 4: Unlocked the Bomb Disposal job.
  • Level 5: Unlocked the Gang Unit job.
  • Level 6: Unlocked Undercover Police Car (your blip becomes invisible on the map for everyone except cops unless you enter drive-by mode).
  • Level 9: Unlocked the Enforcer.
  • Level 10: Can now vote on Law Enforcement suggestions.
  • Level 12: Arrest payment increased by 5%.
  • Level 14: Unlocked the FBI Truck.
  • Level 16: Unlocked the FBI Rancher.
  • Level 18: Unlocked the Police Maverick.
  • Level 20: Unlocked access to /sirens command.
  • Level 22: Arrest payment increased by another 5%.
  • Level 24: Unlocked the S.W.A.T. Armored Vehicle.
  • Level 30: Unlocked access to craft a Police Shield using /barrier 19.
  • Level 32: Arrest payment increased by 10%.
  • Level 42: Arrest payment increased by another 10%.
  • Level 52: Arrest payment increased by another 10%.
  • Level 60: Unlocked PepeCop and PepeCop2 emojis.
