Aircraft

Aircraft are the planes and helicopters used in CIT for travel, Pilot missions, support work, and personal vehicle ownership.

Overview

Aircraft in CIT are used for:

  • personal transport
  • Pilot job missions
  • cargo work
  • passenger transport
  • firefighting support
  • aircraft recovery

They include both:

  • planes
  • helicopters

Where to get aircraft

Most buyable aircraft are sold at:

  • `Aircraft Shop at any airport`

Las Venturas also has:

  • `LV Plane Shop` / `LVPS` — `Las Venturas Airport`

Buyable aircraft

Aircraft Price Top speed Where to get it
`Dodo` $525,000 138 km/h `Aircraft Shop at any airport`
`Sparrow` $600,000 138 km/h `Aircraft Shop at any airport`
`Stuntplane` $650,000 138 km/h `Aircraft Shop at any airport`
`Beagle` $650,000 138 km/h `Aircraft Shop at any airport`
`Nevada` $800,000 138 km/h `Aircraft Shop at any airport`
`Leviathan` $900,000 138 km/h `Aircraft Shop at any airport`
`Maverick` $1,000,000 138 km/h `Aircraft Shop at any airport`
`Transport Mav` $1,000,000 138 km/h `Aircraft Shop at any airport`
`Shamal` $1,500,000 138 km/h `Aircraft Shop at any airport`
`Cropduster` $1,500,000 138 km/h `Aircraft Shop at any airport`
`Andromada` $3,000,000 138 km/h `Aircraft Shop at any airport`
`Rustler` $4,000,000 138 km/h `Aircraft Shop at any airport`
`AT-400` $5,000,000 138 km/h `Aircraft Shop at any airport`
`Seasparrow` $15,000,000 138 km/h `Aircraft Shop at any airport`
`Hunter` $30,000,000 138 km/h `Aircraft Shop at any airport`

Police aircraft

The police-side aircraft listed here are:

Aircraft Price Top speed Where to get it
`Police Maverick` $1,500,000 138 km/h `LSPD`
`Raindance` $2,000,000 138 km/h `LSPD`

Aircraft in the Pilot job

Different aircraft have different roles in the `Pilot` job.

Passenger aircraft

These aircraft carry passengers between airports:

  • `Dodo`
  • `Beagle`

These aircraft carry larger passenger loads:

  • `Shamal`
  • `AT-400`

Cargo and transport aircraft

These aircraft are used for cargo or transport work:

  • `Andromada` carries resource crates and lets you cycle payment resources with `M`
  • `Cargobob` transports vehicles and can be paid in cash or resources
  • `Leviathan` moves cargo containers with `Space` and can be paid in cash or resources

Special aircraft roles

These aircraft have special Pilot uses:

  • `Nevada` runs supply deliveries from `Verdant Meadows`
  • `Cropduster` clears infested areas
  • `Stuntplane` does airshow stunts
  • `Maverick` carries rich passengers
  • `Transport Maverick` carries rich passengers
  • `Raindance` helps firefighters by filling and dropping water with `Space`

Aircraft recovery

Aircraft use separate recovery from normal ground vehicles.

Aircraft recovery is handled through:

  • aircraft recovery points
  • plane recovery points

`LV Hospital` includes:

  • a plane recovery point

It is used for recovering:

  • aircraft
  • helicopters

The `Las Venturas` GPS category also includes:

  • `LV Aircraft Recovery Point` — `Las Venturas Airport`

Related controls and commands

Useful aircraft controls and commands include:

  • /assist
  • /drop
  • /cruise
  • `C`
  • `M`
  • `Space`

These are used for:

  • keeping aircraft steady
  • cruise control
  • cycling payment resources on `Andromada`
  • boarding or aircraft mission actions
  • helicopter support actions

Notes

  • Aircraft in CIT include both helicopters and planes.
  • Most buyable aircraft come from the aircraft shop at airports.
  • `Police Maverick` and `Raindance` are police-side aircraft.
  • Aircraft recovery is separate from normal vehicle recovery.
