Password and Email

This page explains how to change your password, change or link your email, and recover your account if you forget your password or cannot use email recovery.

Account notes

Your password and email are managed through the Security Center.

You can use the Security Center to:

• Change your password
• Change or link your email
• Check login history

If you cannot recover your account through email, you can use the Account Retrieval Board.

Changing Your Password

To change your password:

1. Use /security or /security ingame.

1. Open the Password section.

1. Enter your current password.

1. Enter your new password.

Changing or Linking Your Email

To change or link your email, use:

• /changeemail <old_email> <new_email> <account_password>

If you do not have an old email, use:

• none

You can also change or link your email from the Email section in the Security Center.

Email Case Sensitivity

Emails are case sensitive in CIT.

Because of that, the exact capitalization matters for account recovery.

Forgot Your Password

If you forgot your password:

1. Reconnect or use /reconnect.

1. Click Forgot my password.

1. Enter your email.

1. Wait for the recovery code.

1. Use the code to reset your password.

If Email Recovery Does Not Work

If you cannot recover your account through email, use the Account Retrieval Board.

This is also the place to use if you forgot your password and did not set an email.

Replies usually take 3 to 4 days for manual recovery topics.

Login History

To view your login history:

1. Open the Security Center.

1. Check the Logins tab.

In the login list:

• Green entries are your current device
• Red entries are different serials

PIN Recovery

If you forgot your PIN code:

1. Visit the Account Retrieval Board.

1. Make a new topic.

1. Include as much evidence as you can.

Helpful evidence can include:

• Screenshots
• Login history
• Other identifying account information

Full Account History

To open your full account history, use:

• /myhistory

The file is stored locally in:

• mods > deathmatch > priv > 53B4C5 > CITmyHistory

If that file is deleted, it cannot be recovered.

Security Notes

• Never share your password.
• Your email capitalization matters for recovery.
• If email recovery is not possible, use the Account Retrieval Board.
