LS Turfs

LS Turfs are the Los Santos turf system for the gangster side in CIT.

LS turf facts

Los Santos has 39 turf clusters, each made of several single turfs. Several are drug turfs. LS turfs reset once every 168 hours, which is 7 days.

In LS, turfing uses graffiti and influence control. Grenades and RPGs cannot be used there.

Map and attack details

Armed peds inside LS turfs attack outlaws who enter while in a hostile group. Zooming on F11 can show turf clusters instead of single turfs to reduce clutter. Cluster text is only visible to gangsters.

An LS turf is under attack when it goes under 50%. Gangsters in LS are removed for being AFK after 20 minutes.

Resource turfs

The 4 oil clusters hold 32 single turfs: LS Bay Cargoship Cluster (2), Gas Cargoship Cluster (3), Playa Del Seville Cluster (10), and West LS Docks Cluster (17). The 4 drug clusters hold 58 single turfs: East Los Santos Cluster (13), Vinewood Cluster (13), East LS Docks Cluster (14), and Verona Beach Cluster (18). The number of single turfs in an oil or drug cluster does not change its oil or drug payment.

Turf details

LS Turfs are part of gangster gameplay in Los Santos.

They are group based and are used for turf wars, payouts, and control.

Los Santos has 39 turf clusters, each made of several single turfs.

Several of them are drug turfs.

LS Turfs reset every 7 days.

How LS Turfs Work

To take part in LS turfing:

1. Be on gangster side.
2. Be in a group.
3. Enter the turf zone.
4. Stay inside it to build control.

LS turfing uses:

• Graffiti

Turfs belong to groups, not solo players.

Up to 4 players from the same group count for standing progress.

If you get killed, your group's control goes down.

Defending or re entering the turf stops the other group from taking it.

Rewards

LS turf rewards use the Gangster earn limit of $550,000 per real-life hour, or $640,000 with VIP. The hourly earn counter is shared across teams, but the applicable limit depends on your team when paid. The payment that crosses the limit is cut to the amount remaining; subsequent cash payments give 10%, and drug and resource rewards stop until the next real-life hour. VIP adds a fixed $90,000 to the limit. Hourly Double Earnings or a Double Earnings token doubles the limit.

Oil and drug payouts from turfs count toward the earn limit at a money value, not only the cash. With LS turfs the limit is reached after about 8 to 12 payments, that is 40 to 60 minutes.

Each eligible member is paid every 5 minutes. Cash is the turf part plus floor(17000 / members counted). The turf part rises in $45 steps to $16,335 (363 steps). The result is capped at $31,000 before the group-bank share, giving at most $27,900 after a 10% share or $15,500 after a 50% share. Only a member counted alone reaches the cap. At the highest turf part, with a 10% bank share, payments for 2 through 10 counted members are $22,351, $19,800, $18,526, $17,761, $17,251, $16,886, $16,614, $16,400, and $16,231 respectively.

The member count is shared across the whole group, not just those receiving payment; a member who receives nothing can still count. It splits the $17,000 cash and 150 oil. Each oil or drug turf is held by one group at a time.

Holding LS Turfs gives your group rewards.

• Other resources instead of normal cash

A defended turf gives your group reputation.

Holding it also keeps its passive payout.

LS turf pay can also be directed to the group bank. VIP does not increase LS cash, oil, or drug turf payments.

An LS cash turf gives RP equal to floor(pre-split cash / 200).

Drug Turfs and Resource Turfs

Some LS turfs pay drugs or resources instead of normal cash.

Drug payout turfs

Every 5 minutes each paid member receives 70 units of one random drug: Weed, Crack, Steroids, LSD, God, or Speed. Owning 1 or 4 drug turfs normally pays the same 70; with only 1 claimed and at least 10 members counted, it can fall to 60-68. Hourly Double Earnings raises 70 to 140.

Oil payout turfs

Every 5 minutes each paid member receives 25 oil per claimed oil turf (1-4), plus 150 oil divided by the members counted and rounded down. Four turfs with 5 counted members pay 130 oil each; 1 turf with 8 pay 43 each; a member counted alone with 4 receives 250. Hourly Double Earnings doubles the oil, capped at 320 per payment.

Use F11 to check turfs on the map.

In LS, you may need to zoom in more to see turf clusters clearly.

The turf cluster map can show clusters instead of single turfs to reduce clutter.

Cluster text is only visible to gangsters.

When reading turf info on F11, the owner label also shows whether a turf pays drugs or resources.

Useful LS turf commands include:

Use /lasttakeover to see who made the last LS and LV takeover and when it happened.

Use /turfcolor R G B for the group turf color and /turfcolorls R G B for your LS turfs. A new turf color does not repaint the turfs your group already holds.

Use /groupchatcolor R G B to change your group chat color.

Restrictions and limits

• Gangsters capture LS turfs for their groups; GIU officers can also capture them for Government.
• You must be in a gang or group to take LS Turfs properly.

Current LS control progress

Standing in an LS turf adds 2 control progress every 30 seconds. Up to 4 players from the same group can contribute. If more than 6 players from the same group are inside, that group makes no control progress until a player leaves the area.

• Spraying graffiti adds a random 1 to 5 progress.
• Killing a player without a group adds 2 progress.
• Killing a player who belongs to a group adds 3 progress.
• Being killed removes 5 progress from your group.

Buy a spray can from a shop and use /graffiti to choose a spray.

Current LS limits and payment

Gangsters killed while turfing in LS respawn at the East or West prison release.

• Turfing is disabled inside vehicles and above 85 meters above sea level.
• Killing a groupmate or alliance member removes 5 control, with a minimum of 0.
• Spraying over an online player's graffiti adds 1 extra control.
• AR and CE participants do not affect turf control.
• /afk cannot be used inside a turf, and Gangsters in LS are removed after 20 minutes AFK.
• /kill takes 15 seconds after recent LS turfing.
• Alliances can capture LS turfs. An alliance takeover also counts as a group takeover when one group in the alliance holds more than 80% of the turfs.
• LS turf earnings are paid every 5 minutes.
• Use /turfcolorls R G B to change the group's LS turf color.

The group bank receives 50% from a member in the lowest group rank, 10% when the group has a level, and 0% when it has no level. A group with nobody online loses LS turf percentage 3x faster.

Turf payment eligibility

Holding turfs gives your group passive income, reputation or XP, and some turfs pay drugs, oil, iron, or other resources instead of normal cash.

• You must stay in the city where your group has turfs to receive its turf payments.
• LS Gangsters can receive turf payments while in a vehicle.
• To receive LS turf payments, you must have entered a turf in the last 15 minutes.
• In LV, being considered AFK reduces your turf payment to half.
• Payment depends on turfs owned and active group members. LS turf pay can also go to the group bank.

LS takeover reward

A group that captures all of LS receives $2,000,000 in its group bank. LS Takeovers lists groups and capture timestamps in UTC, newest first. A second full takeover by the same group within 3 hours is not listed.
