Job Competition

Job Competition is a civilian-only `State Official` event in CIT. In this event, players compete by doing the selected civilian job during the event time.

Overview

`Job Competition` is one of the event types hosted by `State Officials`.

In this event:

a civilian job is selected
players do that job during the event time
players compete against each other based on their event score

How it works

During a `Job Competition`:

players work on the selected civilian job
progress made during the event counts toward the competition
the event runs for the set event time

The goal is to outperform the other participants in the selected job while the event is active.

How to join

To join a `Job Competition`:

watch the event announcement
use /soevent info to check the current event details
use /participate if the event announcement tells you to

Players do not use the `State Official` event panel itself.

This shows the current event's:

event type
destination
required vehicle
restrictions

Participation warp

Some `Job Competition` events can warp you to the job marker.

This only happens if:

you use /participate
the host enabled that option

If the host did not enable it:

/participate will not warp you to the job marker for that event

Event options

The host can enable extra options for `Job Competition`.

The documented options are:

live score visibility
equal job progress points

Live score visibility

If enabled:

players can see live score updates during the event

Equal job progress points

If enabled:

different job levels score fairly

This is used to make scoring more balanced between players with different civilian job progress.

Commands

Command	Use
`/soevent info`	Check the current `State Official` event type, destination, required vehicle, and restrictions
`/participate`	Join when the event announcement tells you to, and possibly warp to the job marker if the host enabled that option
