MTA crashes or loses the picture after Alt-Tab
The official graphics guide recommends trying a borderless fullscreen mode.

Steps
Try one step, then check whether the problem is still there. Follow any "only if" line before changing a setting.
Change Fullscreen mode to borderless
In MTA Settings → Advanced → Fullscreen mode, note the current mode. Try Borderless window or Borderless keep res.
Repeat the window-switching test
Switch away from and back to MTA. Keep the new mode only if it helps; restore your original setting if it is worse.
Check the graphics driver if it persists
Use the driver supplied for your actual GPU or laptop model, then retry the same test. If the screen stays black even without switching windows, use the Direct3D or Optimus guide instead.
